Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for various tasks related to the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse. This includes unloading and receiving shipments, inventory management, order picking, packing and shipping, stock replenishment, processing returns, warehouse organizing. Assist with production activities including installing helmet accessories, servicing fire systems, application of heat press logos on racewear and apparel. The position is based in Mooresville, NC.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against the purchase orders or packing lists, and unload them from trucks or delivery vehicles. Inspect and report any damaged or missing items.

  2. Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory by labeling, categorizing, and storing products in designated locations. Use inventory management systems to track stock levels, conduct periodic stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies.

  3. Order Picking, Packing and Shipping: Retrieve items from the inventory based on pick tickets, customer orders. Pack items securely and accurately, ensuring they are properly labeled and prepared for shipping. Prepare shipping documents, labels, and manifests for outgoing shipments. Use of scanner and shipping manifest required.

  4. Process Returns: Receive and process returns from customers according to established procedures. Inspect returned items for damage or defects, determine the appropriate course of action (e.g., restocking, repair, disposal), and update inventory records accordingly.

  5. Stock Replenishment: Restock inventory as needed to maintain optimal levels.

  6. Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and transport goods safely and efficiently. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in good working condition.

  7. Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and accuracy, identifying any defects, damages or errors. Report and resolve discrepancies with supervisors or appropriate personnel.

  8. Data Entry and Documentation: Enter relevant data into computer systems or inventory management software to update records, track shipments, and generate reports. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all warehouse activities. Use scanner.

  9. Warehouse and Office Maintenance: Change light bulbs in the warehouse and office areas. Take out the trash from the office and break room, ensuring proper disposal. Clean and maintain the floors and racks to ensure a safe and organized work environment.

  10. Company Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on company vehicles, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and fueling. Keep vehicles clean and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.

  11. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to company policies, including those related to security, confidentiality, and compliance with legal requirements.

  12. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and external stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on inventory status, shipping delays, or return processing.

  13. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, such as implementing efficiency measures or suggesting changes in layout or workflow. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and actively participate in training programs or workshops.
