We seek a User Guides Technical Writer to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our end-users. You will help users understand our autonomous surface vessels and how to operate them. Your day-to-day will consist of translating complex concepts into digestible content, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, being curious and proactive, and project management. Your portfolio should demonstrate your strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills. It's a plus if you are familiar with DoD standards and regulations related to technical documentation.
\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical specifications and requirements\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system manuals, specifications, and other technical guides for our autonomous surface vessels\nTranslate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible documentation that is easy for end-users to understand\nEnsure that all documentation adheres to industry standards and best practices, as well as any relevant DoD regulations and guidelines\nReview and edit documentation for accuracy, consistency, and clarity, ensuring that it meets the needs of our target audience\nWork closely with the product development team to stay updated on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables\nContinuously update and improve existing documentation based on feedback from users, stakeholders, and internal teams\nStay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in technical writing and documentation
