This full-time role involves overseeing daily operations, leading a team of operatives, and ensuring production targets are met while maintaining strict compliance with health and safety, site permits, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage transfer station operatives, including performance, training, and absence management.
  • Oversee mobile plant operations, coordinating maintenance, breakdowns, and supplier liaison.
  • Ensure all operations comply with site licence, PPC permit, environmental legislation, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Drive efficiency and cost control, meeting budget targets and improving operational performance.
  • Complete administrative duties, including daily checks, stock management, and reporting.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and deputise for the Operations Manager as required.

Essential Requirements

  • FLT experience is a plus but not essential
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Full Weighbridge training will be provided
  • Great communication skills
  • Organised and forward thinking
