We have opportunities around the world for you to contribute to advancements in autonomy, electrification, smart mobility technologies, and more!</p>\n<p>The Components Supervisor - Transmission Structures role leads the engineering team responsible for design &amp; release of structural components utilized within in-house manufactured 10-speed RWD/ 8-speed FWD/ hybrid transmissions, electric drive units of all sizes, and power inverters. These components mostly consist of high-pressure aluminum die castings but can include other materials and manufacturing methods, and includes release of both raw and finish-machined parts. The scope includes supporting current production programs (warranty and cost optimization projects) and future unit programs.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess and assign transmission and electric drive unit structures components (housings, cases, covers, supports, etc) engineering workload to support new and current production programs. Develop scope on assigned or initiated projects or tasks.</li>\n<li>Provide leadership, objectives cascade, performance feedback, input and motivation on projects and performance. Lead weekly section meetings, one-on-one meetings, and support D&amp;R engineers with management reviews, report-outs, and deliverable recovery plans.</li>\n<li>Review, analyze, and address any warranty issues attributed to responsible structures components.</li>\n<li>Audit, coach and mentor engineers in all engineering Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) elements, design rules, and requirement elements in conformance with delivering new programs.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with Systems &amp; tech specialist community to ensure robust design reviews and full compliance with FMA requirements at each program milestone.</li>\n<li>Lead test hardware reviews and problem solving to ensure robust component and system level sign-off.</li>\n<li>Collaborate and communicate with VEV teams to allocate &amp; prioritize prototype operations and test resources to support program deliverables.</li>\n<li>Interface with Ford internal powertrain manufacturing resident engineers, PTME &amp; plant personnel to support and address quality, FTT, warranty issues on 10R, hybrid (HF), 8F, and electric drive unit structures components.</li>\n<li>Review and disposition of SREAs, Alerts, Concern/Notice.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What you&#39;ll do...</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead APQP &amp; support STA to ensure robust Ph0-Ph3 PPAP process at suppliers and Ford plants.</li>\n<li>Lead Transmission Structures CPMT with suppliers and cross functional teams to communicate program deliverables, support builds, provide engineering support to address process &amp; quality issues.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with suppliers and plant personnel to identify cost-saving ideas to deliver to objectives.
