We tackle problems head-on and focus on solutions that create lasting impact.</p>\n<p><strong>Because when our customers win, we all win.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>\n<p>We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team!</p>\n<p><strong>You Will</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, SOX compliance, and other ad hoc tasks</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute monthly accounting close activities and complete related deliverables on time</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform reconciliations and conduct actual vs. actual flux analysis with a strong attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and assist with external audit requests</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and maintain effective internal controls</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the external reporting process and SEC filing deadlines</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new accounting policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support international compliance efforts, including statutory reporting, local GAAP requirements, and coordination with in-country advisors across Cockroach Labs&#39; global entities</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in monitoring and maintaining compliance with international tax obligations, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border intercompany transactions</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactively identify issues, drive continuous improvement, and optimize and automate processes and systems</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in special projects associated with inventory, budgets, financial metrics, and more</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in system testing and provide support for ERP and financial system implementations</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Take on ad hoc projects to streamline and scale accounting operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>You Have</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5–7 years of overall accounting experience; CPA preferred but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>2+ years of public accounting experience</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Solid GL accounting experience</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a strong plus</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) and fixed asset accounting is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-motivated team player with the ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve competing business issues</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within tight deadlines</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Business acumen and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>System implementation experience is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-top:24px;font-size:13px;color:#666;\">XML job scraping automation by <a href=\"https://yubhub.co\">YubHub</a></p>","url":"https://yubhub.co/jobs/job_f09b094b-0d6","directApply":true,"hiringOrganization":{"@type":"Organization","name":"Cockroach Labs","sameAs":"https://www.cockroachlabs.com/","logo":"https://logos.yubhub.co/cockroachlabs.com.png"},"x-apply-url":"https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/cockroachlabs/jobs/7846573","x-work-arrangement":"onsite","x-experience-level":"senior","x-job-type":"full-time","x-salary-range":null,"x-skills-required":["general ledger accounting","reconciliations","month-end close","SOX compliance","ERP systems","NetSuite","lease accounting","fixed asset accounting","U.S. GAAP","Microsoft Excel","Google Sheets"],"x-skills-preferred":[],"datePosted":"2026-04-24T12:11:58.857Z","jobLocation":{"@type":"Place","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressLocality":"New York, NY"}},"employmentType":"FULL_TIME","occupationalCategory":"Finance","industry":"Technology","skills":"general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, SOX compliance, ERP systems, NetSuite, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, U.S. GAAP, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets"}]}
