Your tasks will include:

• Independent planning, control, and implementation of SAP-IBP projects along the end-to-end supply chain planning processes (e.g. demand, supply, response, and inventory) - from cost calculation and conception to implementation, workshops, testing, and user training.

• Taking over the comprehensive professional and methodical responsibility for a portfolio element in the SAP-IBP field (e.g. demand planning, S&OP, inventory optimisation) including continuous development of solutions and best practices.

• Leading SAP-IBP implementations, including budget, quality, and success responsibility, central point of contact for customers, and professional leadership, coaching, and development of internal teams.

• Professional responsibility for pre-sales and sales activities in the SAP-IBP context as an interface between the department and sales, including leading bid teams, developing solution concepts, and creating and presenting offers.

To be well-equipped for your path as a senior manager, you should have the following qualifications:

• Completed studies and at least 5.5 years of work experience in consulting or in-house consulting with a focus on SAP IBP or PP/DS.

• Passion for professional and strategic leadership and building partnerships.

• Expertise in SAP solution components IBP, PP/DS, and/or APO and in the S/4HANA environment, as well as experience in professional leadership and/or project management of SAP planning projects.

The successful candidate will own classification society compliance, maintenance execution, and commercial vendor relationships for Saronic's growing fleet of autonomous surface vehicles (+150 ft), initially supporting 2 to 5 hulls.

Responsibilities:

• Classification & Survey Management
  • Own all ABS interactions: annual, intermediate, special, and drydock surveys; condition assessments; and class certificate maintenance
  • Manage drydocking operations end-to-end , facility selection, docking plans, hull inspections, survey coordination, and undocking sign-off
  • Develop external relationships to steer industry regulatory parties such as USCG
• Commercial Shipyard & Vendor Relations
  • Build and manage Saronic's commercial repair yard and ship husbandry vendor network across key domestic and forward operating regions
  • Negotiate and administer commercial repair contracts and MSAs with private-sector shipyards and specialty subcontractors
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact with repair facilities; attend dock and sea trials on behalf of Saronic
• Technical Oversight
  • Develop repair specifications, work packages, and acceptance criteria grounded in ABS Rules and commercial practice
  • Conduct vessel condition surveys and pre-docking assessments; provide findings and recommendations to steer our MRO organisational processes
  • Establish a commercial-standard Planned Maintenance System (PMS) suited to Saronic's ASV fleet
• Team & Program Support
  • Partner with internally to integrate MRO execution with Saronic's customer-facing teams to drive strategy, budget planning, and fleet readiness reporting
  • Mentor staff on commercial survey processes, ABS documentation, and yard QA

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on commercial maritime MRO experience - technical superintendent, owner's representative, or equivalent - with direct ABS survey and drydocking responsibility (not solely Oil & Gas specific or Navy/government program management)
• Working knowledge of ABS rules and survey process (annual, intermediate, special, drydock); ability to prepare vessels for class
• Hands-on technical competence: hull structure, propulsion, electrical, auxiliary machinery, HVAC
• Commercial repair contract and MSA negotiation - private-sector, not FAR/DFARS
• Willingness to travel regularly to shipyards and work in industrial/outdoor environments

Preferred:

• Bachelor's in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• STCW Chief Engineer Officer certification or seagoing engineering officer background
• Experience with additional classification societies beyond ABS
• Familiarity with commercial CMMS platforms (AMOS, HELM, ShipManager, Maximo, or equivalent)
• Exposure to autonomous or unmanned surface vehicles, or high-performance commercial craft

Physical Demands:

• Ability to certify as 'fit for work' by demonstrating ability to swim and tread water
• Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Will be exposed to marine environments, including sun, wind, rain, cold, and saltwater spray, often for extended periods
• Must be able to operate in daylight, low-light, and night conditions using marine navigation systems and visual cues
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/day
• The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
