      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking dedicated and attentive Waiters to join our shipboard team. As a Waiter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional food and beverage service across all dining venues, lounges, bars, decks, and event spaces.</p>
<p>Under the guidance of Senior Waiters, Assistant Maitre d&#39;s, and outlet managers, you will deliver personalized and memorable experiences by consistently applying our service standards and procedures. This position requires a keen ability to anticipate guest needs, remember preferences, and maintain a calm and friendly demeanor during both busy and quiet periods.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Expedite all instructions from senior wait staff, Bar Tenders, Sommeliers, and managers with respect and efficiency.</li>
<li>Accurately and swiftly execute guest requests while adhering to company service procedures at all times.</li>
<li>Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all wine and food offerings, including portions, ingredients, wine vintages, grape varieties, blends, potential food allergies, and other relevant information as outlined in each outlet&#39;s menu briefing.</li>
<li>Assist with the setup, service, and breakdown duties for each outlet as directed by managers.</li>
<li>Offer wine and menu recommendations as advised by the Chef de Cuisine and Sommelier.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate food and drink orders are taken using DMS, Micros, and checks, as directed by senior wait staff, Bar Tenders, or Sommeliers.</li>
<li>Adhere to all relevant health department regulations before, during, and after services.</li>
<li>Learn and use guest names in accordance with company procedures and standards.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with company beverage and food service standards.</li>
<li>Greet and escort guests to their tables, seats, or locations in the assigned outlets, including escorting plates and beverages where applicable.</li>
<li>Follow company policy regarding the legal drinking age and tactfully address and report the service of alcoholic beverages to obviously overserved guests.</li>
<li>Learn and adhere to Public Health regulations and procedures at all times, including buffet or event setups.</li>
<li>Familiarize yourself with the IPM program and attend training as directed.</li>
<li>Attend various training sessions to continually improve performance.</li>
<li>Strive to minimize breakage and wastage, following proper procedures for garbage disposal.</li>
<li>Follow company guidelines regarding uniforms and personal hygiene.</li>
<li>Execute the Seabourn HESS-MS appropriate to your position.</li>
<li>Ensure each outlet is ready for service 15 minutes prior to advertised timings.</li>
<li>Follow instructions from senior wait staff, Bar Tenders, or relevant managers to administer appropriate service related to the outlet.</li>
<li>Clear stations of any soiled service items.</li>
<li>Report directly to the Senior Waiter, Bar Tender, or Sommelier, as directed by the Outlet Manager.</li>
<li>Assist in taking food and drink orders, when requested, in compliance with company guidelines.</li>
<li>Assist with additional duties as requested by ship management.</li>
</ul>
<p>Skills, Knowledge &amp; Expertise:</p>
<ul>
<li>Education: Diploma from a recognized apprenticeship program, or equivalent.</li>
<li>Experience: At least one year of full-time working experience in a four or five-star (or similar grade) hotel/restaurant.</li>
<li>Restaurant experience combined with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, good presentation, and English language skills.</li>
<li>Previous experience on another Cruise Line is preferred.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable of the USPH and other international Public Health rules and regulations by participating in the company&#39;s Basic Food Hygiene course every 2 years and achieving a minimum of 80% pass.</li>
<li>Requires knowledge of all aspects of high-quality restaurant service.</li>
<li>Working experience with international clientele.</li>
<li>Must be self-disciplined and able to communicate effectively with guests and other departments.</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated with an eye for detail.</li>
<li>Should have the ambition for promotion.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in a team.</li>
<li>Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and complete assigned tasks.</li>
<li>Must be a good timekeeper.</li>
</ul>

<li>Travel Requirements: Valid passport for a minimum of 6 months.</li>

<li>General flag state or flag state approved marine fitness medical.</li>
<li>United States C1/D visa.</li>
<li>English Marlin test with a minimum score of 80%.</li>

<li>Working Conditions: Working on a cruise ship is very different from any land-based occupation. Working hours are longer and more intense due to the constant demand of the guests. Flexibility in working hours is required, as they may change due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the Maritime Labour Convention of 2006 strictly regulates these hours.</li>
<li>There are strict rules that all members of the ship’s company must adhere to, as stipulated by the Master’s standing orders.</li>
<li>You will work in close proximity with your fellow crewmembers, and therefore, mutual respect is essential.</li>
