<p>As a Safety Engineer Trainee, you will support research and engineering activities aimed at improving accident analysis, data processing, and safety performance across international racing competitions.</p>
<p>Working within the Safety department, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing directly to ongoing research projects, experimental work, and the development of innovative tools used to enhance motorsport safety.</p>
<p><strong>Software Development &amp; Data Processing</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the development of internal software tools aimed at improving accident data post-processing and analysis.</li>
<li>Contribute to the optimization and automation of data workflows used in safety engineering projects.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experimental &amp; Simulation Work</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in experimental testing and simulation activities to support ongoing research projects.</li>
<li>Help prepare, execute, and document test procedures in collaboration with engineers.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Data Analysis &amp; Research Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform data analysis related to accident investigation and ongoing research projects.</li>
<li>Interpret results and contribute to technical insights used in safety improvement strategies.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Reporting &amp; Communication</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to the preparation of research reports and documentation for FIA working groups and commissions.</li>
<li>Support the communication of technical findings in a clear and structured manner.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Literature Review &amp; Innovation</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct literature reviews for proposed new research projects.</li>
<li>Identify relevant scientific and technical developments applicable to motorsport safety.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Profile:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Engineering student or graduate in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline</li>
<li>Experience with data analysis tools and programming (Python or similar is an advantage)</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset</li>
<li>Team player with excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Structured and rigorous approach to work</li>
<li>Fluency in English (written and spoken)</li>
<li>Interest in motorsport; Formula Student experience is a plus</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Our Offer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Monthly allowance: CHF 2,000</li>
<li>Meal allowance: CHF 230/month</li>
<li>Remote work: up to 40% of the working time</li>
<li>Transportation: participation in public transport subscription or free parking provided</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Must be enrolled at a university and able to provide a valid internship agreement</strong></p>
<p><strong>Start date:</strong> no later than 1st of August 2026</p>
<p><strong>Internship duration:</strong> 12 months</p>
