The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of HGV driving experience, including multiple HGV modes, and hold a valid Class 1 HGV licence, DCPC, and Digital Tachograph card. They will also have a proven track record in driver training and be familiar with driver legislation and health & safety requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Recruitment and Onboarding: Supporting the hiring process with pre-employment assessments and delivering a comprehensive 3-day Driver Induction aligned with standards and legislation.

Ongoing Driver Training: Providing regular refresher and additional mode training to enhance driver skills and customer experience.

Record Management: Maintaining accurate driver competence and training records using Express Class.

Post-Incident Support: Offering reassessment and retraining for drivers following incidents.

Driving Performance Reviews: Regularly analysing driving data with management to identify and address support needs.

Behavioural Interventions: Conducting targeted support for drivers requiring improvements in actions or behaviours.

Continuous Improvement and Development: Enhancing training delivery, optimising driver learning, and pursuing personal professional development.
