<p>Ford&#39;s Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team is charged with delivering the company&#39;s vision of a fully electric transportation future. <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications.</p>
<p>Design, bring-up, characterise and troubleshoot traction inverters.</p>
<p>Design and validate circuit schematics and PCB layout.</p>
<p>Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.</p>
<p>Perform failure analysis.</p>
<p>Support design validation and end-of-line tests specifications.</p>
<p>Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organisation.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>Bachelor&#39;s of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.</p>
<p>2+ years of experience in power electronics product development.</p>
<p>Hands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation &amp; analysis tools.</p>
<p>Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability.</p>
<p>Hands-on experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.</p>
<p>Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules.</p>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>Experience with EMI troubleshooting.</p>
<p>Familiar with three phase inverters and motor control.</p>
<p>Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development.</p>
<p>Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.</p>
