Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks.</p>\n<p>As a Physical Security Intern, you will work alongside experienced security team members to partner with them in planning, executing and overseeing initiatives that help improve Cloudflare&#39;s security posture. We are looking for interns who are curious, proactive, and able to approach problems with a &#39;security-first&#39; mindset.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Execute a specialized security project over 12 weeks that directly improves Cloudflare&#39;s defensive posture.</li>\n<li>Support the development of global security operational procedures &amp; documents.</li>\n<li>Coordinate response to incidents on company premises and/or sites of special interest (e.g., events, etc.) using the appropriate communication methods and tools.</li>\n<li>Monitor and administrate various technical security systems, including access control, video management, alarm monitoring, PSIM systems, and mass-notification tools.</li>\n<li>Assist in developing location risk assessments, threat assessments, and incident assessments on various incidents/subjects that may impact the safety and security of Cloudflare personnel, business operations, travelers, physical assets, and intellectual property.</li>\n<li>Curate and regularly update the global distribution list, location coordinates, and point of contact databases.</li>\n<li>Support tactical open-source monitoring efforts for offices and events.</li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with Legal, People, Engineering, and Finance teams to integrate security into the fabric of the company.</li>\n<li>Work closely with a mentor who will provide hands-on guidance in your specific security domain.</li>\n<li>Present your security project to the entire company at the end of the internship.</li>\n<li>Connect and learn from our executives and leadership team including our co-founders.</li>\n<li>Write for our Cloudflare blog and be featured on Cloudflare.tv sessions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Example of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pursuing a degree in International Affairs, Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field</li>\n<li>Experience drafting security procedures and templates</li>\n<li>Bilingual is a plus</li>\n<li>Demonstrated critical thinking skills and drive to learn and adapt new technologies.</li>\n<li>Curiosity, empathy and ability to get things done.</li>\n<li>Ability to commit to a minimum 12 week summer internship.</li>\n<li>In office 3-5 days a week in the Austin office.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Bonus: Demonstrated passion for security &amp; software development, such as personal projects, open-source contributions, or experience with our developer platform using Cloudflare for Students.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:24px;font-size:13px;color:#666;\">XML job scraping automation by <a href=\"https://yubhub.co\">YubHub</a></p>","url":"https://yubhub.co/jobs/job_da7f1e4e-39c","directApply":true,"hiringOrganization":{"@type":"Organization","name":"Cloudflare","sameAs":"https://www.cloudflare.com/","logo":"https://logos.yubhub.co/cloudflare.com.png"},"x-apply-url":"https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/cloudflare/jobs/7577080?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply","x-work-arrangement":"onsite","x-experience-level":"internship","x-job-type":"internship","x-salary-range":null,"x-skills-required":["Physical Security","Access Control","Video Management","Alarm Monitoring","PSIM Systems","Mass-Notification Tools","Risk Assessments","Threat Assessments","Incident Assessments"],"x-skills-preferred":[],"datePosted":"2026-04-26T15:37:30.153Z","jobLocation":{"@type":"Place","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressLocality":"In-Office"}},"employmentType":"INTERN","occupationalCategory":"Security","industry":"Technology","skills":"Physical Security, Access Control, Video Management, Alarm Monitoring, PSIM Systems, Mass-Notification Tools, Risk Assessments, Threat Assessments, Incident Assessments"}]}
