      <Description><![CDATA[<p>As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. <p>You will provide initial wound care to the patients&#39; surgical site and ensure patient stability during recovery. You will collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia team. This role includes on-call availability during select non-business hours which will be discussed in the interview.</p>

<p>In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, consistently applying the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.</p>
<p>You will assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly. You will educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient&#39;s medical condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.</p>
<p>What qualifications you will need:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate&#39;s Degree in Nursing or higher is required</li>
<li>Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license</li>
<li>Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required</li>
<li>Minimum of 1-year previous experience of Nursing is required</li>
<li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date</li>
<li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date</li>
<li>PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date</li>

<p>Proficiency is evidenced by adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assess patients&#39; physical and psychosocial status based on interview, examination and review of clinical data.</li>
<li>Assess potential for crisis situations and intervene before crisis situation develops with adeptness, facility, aptitude, ease and skill in managing complexity and uncertainty.</li>
<li>Reassess patient status at established time frames and as indicated by the patient&#39;s condition.</li>
<li>Based on assessment, analyzes relevant patient data and identifies nursing diagnoses/patient care problems.</li>
<li>Communicates patient status and assessed needs to members of multidisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Develops an individualized plan of care, including developmental and cultural needs, in collaboration with the patient, family and interdisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Reviews and updates plan of care as needed.</li>
<li>Acts as a resource to others in developing and implementing plan of care.</li>
<li>Uses the nursing process as a basis for developing, implementing and evaluating nursing interventions.</li>
<li>Provides patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the wealth of human experience.</li>
<li>Performs technical skills as needed by specific clinical unit safely and competently.</li>
<li>Coordinates and implements the medical diagnostic and therapeutic orders as directed.</li>
<li>Anticipates and manages complications of disease progression and invasive procedures.</li>

<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p>

<li>Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing</li>
<li>BSN strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Specialty certification strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Experience: Minimum of 9 months of nursing experience.</li>
