As our Market Access Manager, you will drive Astranis's market access efforts outside of the United States. Astranis is growing the number of satellites it launches each year, and needs a talented market access manager to keep pace with acquiring the necessary authorizations for these satellites to operate in countless countries around the world.
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\nDeveloping in-depth understanding of regulatory and market access frameworks where Astranis does business Engaging directly with national regulatory authorities and fostering strong relationships Obtaining new licenses/authorizations for satellites and earth stations and maintaining existing ones Preparing documentation in support of the license/authorization application process, pulling information from teams across Astranis Influencing and optimizing the domestic/regional regulatory frameworks to support business objectives and market expansion Leveraging satellite industry organizations to ease market access/landing rights requirements in key markets Providing regulatory support to the commercial team for market access in the region Representing Astranis in relevant regional meetings and international forums (e.g. ITU related meetings) to promote Astranis's interests
\nRequirements:
\nAt least 7 years' experience in Market Access, Government Relations, Public Policy or Advocacy for Satellite Communications Degree in law, engineering, public policy or any relevant technical subject Masters degree is an asset Strong technical, regulatory research and analysis skills Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills Excellent verbal and written skills in English and (ideally) a second language Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to exercise judgment and make sound decisions to drive processes to conclusion Self-starter with good organizational skills and the ability to work independently Effective management and advancement of multiple projects simultaneously
