As a Hardware Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the team&#39;s roadmap, creating a hiring plan to grow the team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, managing the team&#39;s day-to-day workloads, and working closely with CoreWeave hardware vendors on advanced failure analysis.</p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building and leading a team who is focused on rapidly delivering high-quality results</li>\n<li>Managing day-to-day workloads, sprints, and long-term project planning</li>\n<li>Identifying opportunities to improve process flows and speed through systems and tools</li>\n<li>Developing measurable goals for the team and ensuring alignment to deliver</li>\n<li>Facilitating constructive communication across all teams, and providing coaching and counseling by mentoring, one-on-one meetings, and regular performance feedback</li>\n<li>Working closely with the recruiting team to attract and evaluate talent</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The team is responsible for providing sustaining hardware and software support to internal teams, developing and maintaining tooling to support CoreWeave&#39;s hardware/firmware automation and monitoring, performing hardware failure analysis and tracking RMAs with hardware vendors, and creating and maintaining accurate documentation of hardware designs, specifications, test procedures, and results.</p>\n<p>Requirements include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years of experience managing operational teams</li>\n<li>A passion for leading emerging teams in a fast-paced environment</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with datacenter-class hardware and infrastructure</li>\n<li>Experience coaching staff that work on challenging issues and solutions that are scalable and executed rapidly</li>\n<li>Prior success in creating processes and developing cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineering, operations, support, sales, and product groups</li>\n<li>Enthusiasm for staffing, interviewing, growing, and retaining talent</li>\n<li>Drives operational excellence through scalable, efficient processes</li>\n<li>Highly effective communicator with the organizational rigor to align cross-disciplinary stakeholders and drive execution</li>\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Nice-to-haves include prior experience managing distributed teams with a mix of hardware and software engineers, prior experience working upstream with open-source projects, and strong JIRA experience.</p>\n<p>The base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $242,000, and the starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
