Your primary role focuses on delivering advanced geospatial analysis and digital solutions that support the Department operations while championing AI, machine-learning, and deep-learning integration; you will bridge geospatial data with land-governance requirements to accelerate cycle times, improve data quality, automate workflows, and generate actionable insights, leading cross-functional teams to design, build, and continuously evolve geospatial platforms and analytics that enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

What you'll do

As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following:

  • Assess land-related spatial data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and fitness for purpose, while improving data models and analytical methodologies to support complex land scenarios.

What you need

  • Required skill 1: Expert knowledge of coordinate reference systems, including their reprojections and conversions, with a focus on understanding the implications of accuracy and performance impact on large-scale geospatial data analytics.
  • Required skill 2: Proficient in programming languages or scripting, notably Python and Arcade; familiarity with version control systems like Git (A version-control system that records every change made to a set of files usually source-code over time)
