As Finance Director, you will be a core member of a four-person executive team responsible for delivering profitable growth and long-term strategy across a £150m revenue business. You’ll lead the finance function while playing a pivotal role in commercial decision-making, investment activity and performance improvement. Key responsibilities include:

Shaping financial strategy, annual budgets and 5-year plans Partnering with operations and commercial teams to improve performance and profitability Supporting pricing decisions, tenders and customer contract management Leading investment appraisal and acquisition activity Providing insight-driven reporting and meaningful operational MI Developing financial controls and governance frameworks Influencing business strategy, market entry and growth opportunities Managing and developing the finance team

You’ll operate at both strategic and operational levels — from board-level planning to hands-on commercial support. What makes this role exciting?

What do I need to be successful?

Qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience Senior finance leadership experience within an operational business Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence non-finance stakeholders Experience in planning, reporting, forecasting and financial control Confident communicator comfortable operating at executive level Ability to drive improvement, challenge constructively and lead change

Desirable:

Manufacturing or multi-site experience M&A or investment appraisal exposure Contract-based or operationally intensive environments
