Expert ECE C - COSMOS Project

Maintaining a fleet with high levels of safety, reliability, availability, and regulatory compliance, particularly with EU Commission Regulation 2019/779 on the certification of Entities in Charge of Maintenance (ECM),is a major challenge.

Some of the current Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) are based on legacy SNCF tools used for TGV maintenance (TIGRE, W-OIL), which are reaching end-of-life and no longer meet the required IT security standards for long-term use.

As part of its development, the COSMOS project was launched in January 2026 to replace these tools and equip Rolling Stock teams with a new CMMS and maintenance processes recently deployed by SNCF for its high-speed fleet.

The Expert ECE C COSMOS acts as the functional and IT reference for the new systems being rolled out at Eurostar, related to the continental and Channel fleets.

Key responsibilities include being the reference person for new ECE C processes and IT systems, including drafting target processes; being the reference person for maintenance data within this domain; first point of contact for SNCF partners executing tasks within this domain on behalf of the COSMOS project; change management, providing training and support materials, and operational presence during key project moments; expertise provision within the project and tracking developments related to maintenance tasks, control of performed work, re-induction of vehicles, and current supporting tools; expertise provision within Rolling Stock regarding the target tools of COSMOS and their use; drafting new procedures for the various Go Lives of the project and supporting updates to reference documentation; preparing, organizing, facilitating, and following up on working groups with internal and external stakeholders to define new procedures and support adoption; being the point of contact for SNCF entities for all questions related to their contributions to the COSMOS project, and coordinating internal and external resources within the project plan; ensuring expertise over maintenance data of the Eurostar fleet within the new tools; being responsible for defining and making available KPIs within the future reporting system of Eurostar; providing training for users, including developing supporting materials; presence on site during Go Lives, test phases, and data migrations; following up and recording actions in project tools to inform stakeholders about the progress.
