Developer Marketing Lead

At Trunk, our mission is to help teams create high-quality software quickly. We've helped engineerings teams at Google X, Zillow, and Brex to understand why their builds fail, which tests are flaky, and how to ship code faster without sacrificing reliability. AI has made writing code 10x faster, but shipping is still painfully slow. The bottleneck has shifted downstream - to merge conflicts, flaky tests, inconsistent code quality, and dozens of other frictions that drain productivity and morale. Engineering teams that can stay focused on designing, implementing, and delivering software will build magical, high-quality projects - and they'll be happier doing it. We're building a CI Reliability Platform that empowers teams to land code faster and develop happier.

We're looking for a Developer Marketing Lead who thrives in the creative chaos of early-stage startups. You've built pipelines at a tech company before and loved the variety - producing customer success stories one day, coordinating events the next, rolling out ad campaigns the day after. As our sole marketing hire, you'll have the freedom to own the entire marketing function. If you're energized by the challenge of making developers care about tooling to increase their productivity and get a kick out of seeing your work directly move the revenue needle, this role is for you.

You will have two strategic objectives: grow revenue and accelerate our move into the enterprise market. The responsibilities below reflect our current best thinking on how marketing can drive these goals - but we expect you to challenge, refine, and evolve these tactics as you learn what works. What matters is hitting the objectives; how you get there is yours to shape. You also will have the opportunity to partner closely with our Founders to craft the strongest messaging.

Responsibilities

Own the marketing strategy and execution - Design and run campaigns across both bottom-up (developer-led, community) and top-down (enterprise ABM, executive messaging) motions. Drive pipeline from first touch through enterprise adoption. Lean on our Founders to help craft the best messaging.

Build enterprise demand generation - Execute campaigns targeting large engineering orgs, create executive-level positioning for Directors/VPs/CTOs, and enable Sales with competitive intel, messaging, and materials that close deals.

Optimize paid and organic acquisition - Own the full funnel from awareness to SQL. Manage community sponsorships, paid campaigns, SEO, content distribution, and events. Set up attribution and kill what doesn't work.

Launch products and be the cross-functional hub - Own GTM for new releases. Work embedded with DevRel, Product, Engineering, and Sales to amplify technical content, shape roadmap with market insights, and build systems that make the whole company better at marketing.

Requirements

5-7+ years of B2B marketing experience with at least 3 years of marketing to developers or technical audiences

Proven demand generation chops - Track record of building and scaling acquisition funnels with measurable impact on pipeline and revenue

Strong instincts for technical messaging - ability to translate complex developer tools into clear value props and positioning (please share samples in application)

Resourceful executor with startup DNA - You've thrived in lean environments where you've personally built landing pages, written ad copy, managed event logistics, created sales decks, and jumped in wherever needed to move the needle

Cross-functional collaboration - Experience partnering with Product, Sales, and DevRel/Community teams in fast-moving environments

Nice to Have

Built marketing at Series A-C stage startups - as an early hire

Worked in developer productivity categories (devtools, infrastructure, API) and understand developer workflows, pain points, and buying behavior

Managed agencies or contractors to extend your leverage

Technical background

Based in SF/Bay Area and comfortable with Pacific Time working hours

Benefits

Unlimited PTO

Competitive salary and equity

Work-life balance

Flexibility to be fully or partly remote

Up to $200/month stipend for coworking space for remote folks

Few meetings, so you can ship fast and focus on building

One Medical membership on us!

Top-notch medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance

All insurance is 100% company-paid ($0 premiums) for employees and highly subsidized for dependents

FSA, HSA with company contributions, and pre-tax commuter benefits

401(k) plan

Paid parental leave (up to 12 weeks)

Developer Marketing Lead

We're hiring a Developer Marketing Lead to make ElevenLabs the default audio AI platform for builders. You will own the strategy, budget, and narrative that attract qualified developers and turn intent into self-serve revenue—through positioning, launches, partnerships, content, and high-performing marketing surfaces (developer landing pages and campaigns), and later into enterprise leads. Your north star is developer sign-ups. This is a unique blend of product marketing and growth marketing, focused on developers.

What you'll do

Day to day, you’ll craft crisp developer messaging, orchestrate launches, continuously improve developer landing experiences with a disciplined test cadence, and spin up and test new growth channels (such as developer content, partnerships, SEO and paid). You’ll work cross-functionally with paid, SEO, and comms/PR to scale what works. This is not DevRel or in-product (no docs/SDKs/onboarding). This can be an IC role or a hybrid of IC and manager.

What you need

5+ years doing growth/marketing at fast-growing companies, or selling your own products.

Deeply understand developers - what resonates and doesn’t, where they show up, how to position products for them.

Analytical skills - you can use Google Sheets and/or SQL to understand the impact of the work you’re doing.

Strong at copywriting.

Experience in multiple channels including at least one being developer content, SEO, paid, and partnerships.

Ownership, autonomy, bias to action.

Know how to (vibe) code.
