<p><strong>What you&#39;ll do</strong></p>
<p>Joining the AVL Mobility team provides engineers with the ability to grow and develop skills across a variety of customer projects. Every day at AVL is different and our team thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</p>
<ul>
<li>Performs engine and vehicle calibration and other relevant engineering project work within project team as required.</li>
<li>Works on specific phases or aspects of projects such as, preparation of specifications, technical plans, engine testing, vehicle testing, data analysis and validation.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What you need</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience and Education</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li>
<li>0-3+ years’ experience in area of expertise</li>
<li>Technical degree or certification in engine or automotive technology</li>
<li>Familiarity with regulatory and market segment requirements and end-user expectations</li>
<li>Supports Calibration Engineers in the following areas:</li>
<li>Compression ignition engines</li>
<li>Spark-ignited direct injection (NA or turbocharged)</li>
<li>Spark-ignited PFI engines</li>
<li>Base engine calibration (steady-state and transient)</li>
<li>Fuel system development and calibration</li>
<li>Turbocharging and EGR system development and calibration</li>
<li>Vehicle and/or engine emissions calibration and optimization to meet regulatory standards.</li>
<li>Vehicle and/or engine cold start and environmental correction calibration.</li>
<li>Vehicle development trip support for hot weather, cold weather and high altitude.</li>
<li>Vehicle drivability and feature calibration</li>
<li>Torque model and torque path calibration</li>
<li>OBDII and diagnostic development and calibration</li>
<li>Exhaust after-treatment calibration for diesel DPF, DOC, SCR systems</li>
<li>Working experience with some or all of the following tools:</li>
<li>Etas INCA</li>
<li>ATI Vision</li>
<li>Vector CANape, CANalyzer</li>
<li>AVL Drive</li>
<li>AVL Cameo</li>
<li>AVL Concerto</li>
<li>Mototron MotoTune/MotoHawk</li>
<li>MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint</li>
