      <Description><![CDATA[<p>The Autonomous Robotics Engineer will play a key role in defining, deploying, and scaling next-generation automation across Ford&#39;s global manufacturing network. This role supports the launch of advanced Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) and AGV technologies that modernize in-plant logistics, increase safety, improve quality, and enable Best-in-World manufacturing performance.</p>
<p>You will work hands-on with robotics systems, controls, IT architecture, and cross-functional launch teams to deliver reliable, repeatable automation that transforms how material moves in our N.A. plants.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the design, commissioning, and launch of AMR systems for in-plant material flow.</li>
<li>Partner with cross-functional teams (Controls, IT, Safety, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering) to plan and integrate AMR/AGV systems into facility operations.</li>
<li>Diagnose and resolve issues across controls, networking, software, and system integration during facility commissioning and launch.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance AMR throughput, uptime, fleet behavior, and system robustness.</li>
<li>Benchmark Best-in-World AMR/AGV deployments and translate findings into Ford&#39;s automation strategy and standards.</li>
<li>Lead design reviews, risk assessments, readiness evaluations, commissioning processes, and handoff to plant operations.</li>

<p>+ Strong self-starter with a Bachelor&#39;s degree in engineering, engineering technology, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field.   + 2+ years of experience deploying automation or robotics systems in a manufacturing environment.   + Working knowledge of controls systems, industrial networking, and IT/OT interfaces related to robotics.   + Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements for autonomous technologies.   + Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support N.A. launch activities.   + Proficient English language skills</p>

<p>+ Strong self-starter with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive issues to closure.   + Experience with PLC controls (Allen-Bradley preferred), industrial robotics, AMR/AGV platforms, or virtual commissioning tools.   + Understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards related to AGV/AMR technologies.   + Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.   + Experience with system-level debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.</p>
