Responsibilities:

• Cost Controlling:
• Control the plant's overhead costs
• Define cost authorizations for different plant areas based on organisational requirements
• Monitor actual costs and detect potential deviations
• Inform managers of deviations and work with areas to establish corrective measures
• Feed the organisation's cost information systems and ensure robust and reliable information
• Approve purchase orders and ensure correct cost allocation by cost centers and accounting accounts
• Monitor fund availability prior to expense approval
• Participate in scenario planning
• Collaborate with the plant to understand physical factors impacting business costs and advise areas on cost matters for decision-making
• Participate in cost reduction meetings for each area and review savings and efficiencies provided

• Monthly Close:
• Consolidate information for the month end close of overhead costs
• Coordinate with areas to obtain necessary information and documentation explaining cost variations
• Coordinate with areas to obtain necessary information for preparing the spending forecast
• Consolidate all necessary information for preparing the monthly close according to established timelines and procedures

• Accounting Entries and Accruals:
• Prepare accounting entries required to ensure the integrity of accounting accounts
• Calculate and prepare accruals required to ensure correct accounting of costs according to general accounting standards and the company's internal standards

• Budgets:
• Prepare the plant's overhead budgets
• Lead the process of information gathering, forecast calculation, and consolidation of costs necessary to build the budgets
• Prepare required reports and documentation to explain budget to the rest of the organisation

• Other:
• Participate in the modernisation of the finance area using digital tools
• Perform financial analysis of studies, scenarios, and suggestions proposed by the organisation
• Prepare reports and analysis required by the organisation for decision-making and participate in setting the plant's objectives regarding overhead costs
• Ensure compliance with internal control processes and participate in internal and external audit processes

Qualifications:

• Academic background in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering with demonstrable knowledge and experience in the financial-accounting field
• Specialisation or additional training in data analysis, business intelligence, or quantitative finance will be highly valued
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Query, Power Apps, and Power Automate
• Technical knowledge and experience will be highly valued:
• ERP systems such as SAP
• Databases and SQL for information extraction and manipulation
• Data process automation tools such as Alteryx
• Cloud platforms (GCP) at a user or data integration level
