We are seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for our autonomous surface vessels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality ASVs for the DoD.
\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for the production of autonomous surface vessels.\nWork closely with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design specifications into the manufacturing process.\nCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and qualify materials necessary for production.\nEstablish and implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality.\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any production issues.\nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency.\nStay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate advancements into the manufacturing process.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.\nProvide training and support to production personnel to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes.\nTroubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the production process.
\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.\nProven experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly in the production of complex electromechanical systems.\nFamiliarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies is highly desirable.\nStrong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.\nKnowledge of industry standards and regulations related to autonomous maritime systems.
