Purpose: Play an integral part in delivering effective recycling and waste services; ensuring receptacles are emptied; recyclables are separated to secure best rebate value; and waste services complement rather than disrupt other business activities.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Service Provision: Review & adhere to safe systems of work, policies & procedures Adhere to a 'clean as you go' approach Wear PPE as directed and maintain in good condition Decant/empty waste receptacles as required Ensure waste streams are segregated properly Moving waste receptacles to ensure provision in areas of need Coordinate provision of bins, skips and collections by waste contractors Ensure adherence to work schedules Ensure waste management does not disrupt client operations Operate balers & compactors and other equipment (e.g. for cardboard or plastic) Promptly report defects of equipment Complete check sheets as required Maintain excellent housekeeping of all waste areas (including signage & labelling) Support communication & awareness activities as required Liaise with Site Waste Manager to deliver customer satisfaction

Personal Development: Willingness to attend training programmes as requested. Willingness to take on new skills to enhance the company's profile and service offering, as per training received.

Personal Impact: Ensure full uniform and ID badges are worn at all times. Maintain a professional and tidy appearance at all time. Arrive on time for your shift.

Quality Management and Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with and actively promote Health & Safety at work. Ensure all PPE is worn, where applicable. Report accidents, incidents and near misses of any nature to your Line Manager immediately, or prior to end of the shift.
