You will lead Continuous Improvement activities for current production programs, managing processes through idea generation, feasibility study and evaluation, and implementation. You will also participate in VAVE workshops prior to product launch and after Job 1, working with the team to establish measurement indicators for cost improvements, efficiencies, etc.

In addition, you will support production and pre-production programs as required by the Platform Manager, update and maintain testing cost estimates for RFQ purposes, and ensure that the product is manufactured to all engineering/customer and manufacturing specifications.

You will provide consultation and assist in resolving quality concerns, keep the communication lines open between various departments, including production, toolroom, quality assurance, and engineering departments. You will also keep Management informed on the status of assigned projects on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate will have a college or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Controls, and 3 years' engineering experience. They will have excellent problem-solving techniques, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. They will also have strong communication skills and the ability to interact cohesively with all levels of employees in the organization.

Knowledge of GD&T and CAD is an asset, as is familiarity with company and customer quality systems. The candidate should be able to travel as required by company and customer, and have a G license. They should also be able to work independently and present an image to customers of total company commitment.

The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be $57,658.00 - $107,000.00.
