Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.</li>\n<li>Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.</li>\n<li>Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.</li>\n<li>Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>What Qualifications You Will Need</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.</li>\n<li>Current RN VA license or has a compact multistate license.</li>\n<li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.</li>\n<li>Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.</li>\n<li>Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.</li>\n<li>PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Benefits</p>\n<p>Henrico Doctors&#39; Hospital offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career, and retirement of our colleagues.
