Mercury is actively becoming a bank. The controls you design, the procedures you write, and the evidence you build will be reviewed by regulators as part of that process. This is not process improvement at an established lender. It is foundational infrastructure for a new institution, and the commercial lending operation Mercury runs will reflect what you design.

As a Senior Credit Operations Analyst - Loan Operations, you will own loan booking, quality control, disbursements, payoffs, lien tracking, and reconciliation, establishing single-point ownership over activities currently distributed across multiple teams. You will design and implement a formal quality control function between underwriting approval and loan booking, establishing a control layer that scales with Mercury's credit products and regulatory obligations. You will build scalable, bank-grade workflows for each stage of the loan servicing lifecycle. You will design operational infrastructure for Standby Letters of Credit, including collateral controls, contingent liability tracking, and release procedures. You will translate operational requirements into system specifications, test plans, and user acceptance criteria in partnership with development teams. You will establish procedural documentation, SLAs, and control frameworks that hold up to regulatory examination. You will build and maintain loan tapes and operational reporting across the portfolio. You will contribute to standing up the broader credit program ahead of bank launch, including operational standards, procedures, controls, and exam-readiness documentation.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience across banking, fintech, or private credit operations. An inclusive 2+ years of experience in credit operations or loan servicing is preferred. Comfortable building in ambiguity and operating in a 0-to-1 environment. Strong written communication: the documentation you produce will be reviewed by bank regulators. It must be precise, defensible, and clear enough that an operator can follow it and an examiner can evaluate it. Experience owning core servicing workflows: booking, disbursements, payoffs, collateral management, or reconciliation. Experience translating operational requirements into system specifications or partnering with product and engineering teams on system design. Prior experience working in full-cycle credit management (origination, portfolio management, workout, etc.) is a plus. SQL and data skills are useful but not required.

Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:

US employees in New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles or San Francisco: $132,400 - $165,500

US employees outside of New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles or San Francisco: $119,200 - $149,000

You will create, plan and execute software development plans while ensuring efficiency, scalability and usability for our Commercial, Laboratory, and R&D teams. You will gather requirements and prioritize technical development in alignment with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

This role will lead discussions with key-decision makers and stakeholders to create a comprehensive data platform roadmap outlining Freenome's path to commercialization and support for ongoing product development. You will work closely with our engineering team, leveraging your deep knowledge in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, etc) to enable seamless execution.

The role reports to the Associate Director, Technical Product Management. This role will be a Remote role, with onsite travel to our headquarters in Brisbane, California as needed.

As a Technical Product Manager, you will:

• Define requirements and manage the development processes, systems, and software infrastructure for the data platform and tools supporting Commercial and R&D initiatives.
• Partner with lab and business stakeholders to elucidate requirements, optimize workflows, and lead data platform and product definition, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
• Work with engineers to translate product requirements into Epics and Stories with clear user acceptance criteria.
• Track and drive development and ensure fulfillment of requirements using issue tracking system (e.g., Jira).
• Lead and facilitate productive interactions between users and engineers to ensure user needs are understood and met.

You will create a thorough technical strategy and roadmap to scale Freenome's commercial data platform, tooling, and data products to support current and future products. Provide a clear and tangible vision for future development efforts with scalability and accessibility in mind.

Ensure complete data integrity throughout the pipeline with technical and process-oriented solutions.

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a software development environment, ideally within biotechnology and NGS.
• Deep expertise in identification and prioritization of software features.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead complex trade-off decisions between functions and measurably improve organizational success and processes.
• Experience leading software development efforts to meet regulated market standards (FDA, CAP/CLIA), laboratory operations, medical affairs, or clinical study operations for diagnostics.

Nice to have:

• Experience in building solutions with a focus on multiomics, NGS, or proteomics a plus.

The US target range of our base salary for new hires is $118,150 - $167,475. You will also be eligible to receive equity, cash bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered. Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to, location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
