<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct engine assembly, disassembly, and integration for UAV propulsion systems.</li>
<li>Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring all propulsion systems meet operational standards.</li>
<li>Operate test cells for engine validation, tuning, and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and performance issues related to propulsion systems.</li>
<li>Work closely with engineers and flight test teams to ensure system readiness.</li>
<li>Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and modifications.</li>
<li>Follow strict safety protocols and standard operating procedures in handling high-performance UAV propulsion systems.</li>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on aircraft engines (military or civilian).</li>
<li>Prior experience at an aerospace company or military aviation unit.</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting skills with gas turbine, reciprocating, or hybrid propulsion systems.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering documents.</li>
<li>Comfortable working in high-energy, high-precision environments.</li>
<li>Strong safety mindset, with meticulous attention to detail.</li>
<li>U.S. Citizenship or ability to comply with ITAR requirements.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferences:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Airframe &amp; Powerplant (A&amp;P) License.</li>
<li>Military background, particularly in jet propulsion, UAVs, or rotary-wing aircraft.</li>
<li>Experience with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) propulsion.</li>
<li>Knowledge of fuel systems, ignition systems, and advanced propulsion technologies.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with engine dynamometers, test cells, or ground support equipment.</li>
<li>FAA Powerplant or military equivalent engine qualifications.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, taking ownership of full-cycle propulsion system maintenance.</li>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking a Senior Propulsion Test Engineer to lead the planning and execution of propulsion test campaigns for the X-BAT platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of propulsion test activities, from test architecture and test stand design through execution, data analysis, and iteration.</p>
<p>Your primary focus will be on ensuring test results accurately characterise engine and subsystem performance, de-risk integration, and inform flight readiness decisions. This role is hands-on, data-driven, and highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with propulsion engineers, design engineers, technicians, controls, airframe, and flight test teams.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Owning the propulsion test program from requirements through execution, data review, and test-to-flight handoff.</li>
<li>Architecting, designing, analysing, and building test stands and fixtures for engine, fuel, oil, bleed air, and TVC-related testing.</li>
<li>Defining and implementing instrumentation plans, DAQ architecture, calibration methods, and test procedures.</li>
<li>Leading ground test campaigns, including performance mapping, transient response, and edge-of-envelope testing.</li>
<li>Analysing test data to validate performance, identify anomalies, and drive design or control updates.</li>
<li>Partnering with propulsion REs and controls engineers to ensure test coverage closes risk against CONOPS and mission profiles.</li>
<li>Driving root cause investigations for test anomalies and implementing corrective actions.</li>
<li>Authoring test plans, reports, and readiness reviews; representing propulsion test in design and flight readiness reviews.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements include a Bachelor&#39;s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline, 5+ years of experience in propulsion or engine testing in aerospace development environments, and hands-on experience with engine test cells, test stand design, instrumentation, and DAQ systems.</p>
