<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for defining active EO/IR system architectures, performing radiometric performance modeling, and laboratory, ground, and flight testing. They will also model atmospheric and environmental effects for land, sea, and air targets, and leverage their analyses to inform system-level architectural trades.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Defining system architectures via detailed trade studies and analyses</li>
<li>Adapting or deriving physics-based models of sensor system performance and deriving requirements based on those models</li>
<li>Taking ownership over the development of prototype sensor systems in a lab environment</li>
<li>Supporting both laboratory-based and field-based experiments and demonstrations</li>
<li>Engaging technically with the hardware, software, and mission teams to define, integrate, and deliver high-performance systems to our customers</li>
<li>Validating models against laboratory and real-world data</li>
<li>Coordinating and communicating with both external &amp; internal stakeholders with varying degrees of technical background</li>
</ul>
<p>Required qualifications include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Model development and validation in one or more domains relevant to remote sensing</li>
<li>Ability to decompose complex systems into functional parts, with clearly defined interfaces and requirements for each</li>
<li>Experience in system design and development from initial concept through test and delivery to customer</li>
<li>Strong laboratory skills (rapid prototyping, design of experiments) and familiarity with opto-electrical test and measurement equipment</li>
<li>Willingness to travel to test sites, as needed</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred qualifications include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of current and next-generation advanced sensing systems and platforms</li>
<li>Active and passive sensing domain experience (e.g., LiDAR, EO/IR, Radar)</li>
<li>Experience with laser systems, including opto-mechanical scanning and beam steering techniques</li>
<li>Knowledge of electro-mechanical control systems, including their performance requirements and verification methodologies</li>
<li>Experience with LiDAR/Radar signal processing techniques, and knowledge of their implementation on real-time embedded platforms (FPGA, MCU, etc.)</li>
<li>Experience with signature and/or scenario modeling/software packages (MODTRAN, SPIRITS, AFSIM)</li>
</ul>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>Anduril Industries is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and testing EO/IR cameras at customer facilities. This will involve integrating sensors onto aircraft, performing health and status checkouts, managing safety standards and best practices around flight lines, and debugging issues as needed.</p>
<p>The Field Engineer will also be responsible for testing and debugging sensors that are in the build and characterization phase of production. They will work closely with the engineering team to identify and troubleshoot system hardware and software issues.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>

<li>Planning, leading, and managing the integration and testing of high-performance imaging systems from first build through field deployment.</li>

<p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system design and development, with experience in laboratory skills, such as design of experiments. <p>We are looking for a Lead Engineer, Sentry Hardware to join our growing team in Irvine, CA. This role will own rapidly developed, ruggedized product introduction in addition to scaling legacy design concepts to support full-rate production. You will be directly responsible for the sustainment, consolidation, and future improvements of core tower systems including platform communications, power, structures, and sensors amongst many others.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>

<li>Lead technical execution from vision &amp; initial design, through fabrication, test, and production of ruggedized hardware systems and platforms</li>
