<p>What You&#39;ll Do</p>
<p>Do you love solving complex technical problems and interacting with people? As a Technical Support Engineer Intern at Cloudflare, you&#39;ll work directly with customers and cross-functional teams to tackle a variety of technical challenges. You&#39;ll gain hands-on experience with our products, learn the inner workings of Cloudflare&#39;s offerings, and deepen your understanding of internet technologies.</p>
<p>Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze and troubleshoot customer issues</li>
<li>Track support requests using our ticketing system</li>
<li>Participate in team meetings to discuss and share feedback</li>
<li>Help create and update technical documentation and run books</li>

<p>Skills and Requirements</p>
<ul>
<li>Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a Computer Sciences or related field</li>
<li>Self-driven and capable of learning new technologies/systems/features with some guidance</li>
<li>Fundamental understanding of how the Internet works (OSI Model); Cloudflare has a variety of products that presently impact Layers 3, 4 &amp; 7</li>
<li>Experience using Linux</li>
<li>Experience in command line and tools, including curl, dig, traceroute, openssl and git</li>
<li>Experience writing scripts in Bash, Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages</li>
<li>Awareness of what DNS, SSL/TLS and HTTP is and how these function</li>
<li>Awareness of or experience installing and configuring web servers like Apache, Nginx, and IIS</li>

<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go) and a desire to expand those skills.</li>
</ul>

<li>Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.</li>
</ul>

<li>Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>12 years plus of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.</li>

<li>You’re not afraid of command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, or analyzing HTTP request and response in a browser’s web inspector.</li>

<li>You can describe the differences between CSRF, XSS, and SQLi in detail, and Cloudflare’s role in defending against them.</li>

<li>Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such a PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.</li>

<li>An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.</li>
