You&#39;ll own our technical accounting agenda, lead financial reporting, and be a trusted partner to the business on complex transactions.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research and document the company&#39;s positions on complex accounting matters under US GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, and others)</li>\n<li>Draft and maintain accounting policy memos</li>\n<li>Serve as the go-to resource for accounting questions across the business</li>\n<li>Partner with Sales, Legal and Strategic Finance on structuring new transactions and arrangements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Revenue Recognition (ASC 606):</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own end-to-end revenue recognition for the company&#39;s product and services offerings</li>\n<li>Review customer contracts and develop SSP analyses and revenue waterfalls</li>\n<li>Own the revenue system implementation</li>\n<li>Ensure proper documentation of 5-step model assessments for all revenue streams</li>\n<li>Work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk on non-standard arrangements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Equity Accounting (ASC 718):</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all stock-based compensation accounting</li>\n<li>Partner with HR and Legal on new equity programs and modifications</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external valuation firms on 409A valuations</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Financial Reporting:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the preparation of internal financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and management reporting packages</li>\n<li>Support the external reporting and communications</li>\n<li>Assist in drafting financial statements and disclosures</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Tax Support:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the tax function with quarterly and annual provision work (ASC 740)</li>\n<li>Support sales tax reconciliation</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external tax advisors on compliance and planning matters</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required</li>\n<li>8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry (tech or SaaS strongly preferred)</li>\n<li>Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, ASC 718, and ASC 842</li>\n<li>Experience supporting or leading an external audit process</li>\n<li>Strong written communication skills , you can translate complex accounting into clear, concise memos</li>\n<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with evolving processes</li>\n<li>Experience with NetSuite, Carta, Shareworks, or similar tools a plus</li>\n<li>AI and Automation first.
