<p>To provide support to the operational team by delivering competent SHE guidance, ensuring legal and company compliance, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture across all activities. Acting as a trusted advisor, the position helps reduce risk, prevent incidents, and strengthen the organisation’s overall SHE performance by supporting the SHE Manager.</p>
<p><strong>Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>SHE Governance &amp; Assurance</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide independent assurance that site activities comply with SHE policies, legal requirements, and environmental permit conditions.</li>
<li>Conduct SHE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews across operational areas.</li>
<li>Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of risk controls developed by operational teams.</li>
<li>Support operational teams in the investigation of accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents</li>
<li>Support preparation for regulatory inspections, customer audits, and certification audits.</li>
<li>Maintain SHE management system documentation and records.</li>
<li>Track corrective actions to ensure effective closure and organisational learning.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Environmental &amp; Energy Management Systems</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the implementation and continual improvement of the site Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and the site Energy Management System in accordance with ISO 50001.</li>
<li>Assist in identifying opportunities to improve environmental performance and energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Support monitoring and reporting of energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and environmental metrics.</li>
<li>Support compliance with the site environmental permit and relevant environmental legislation.</li>
<li>Monitor environmental performance including effluent discharges, waste management, emissions, and resource use.</li>
<li>Support the investigation and management of environmental incidents or permit deviations.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Coaching &amp; Operational Support</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coach and support managers and supervisors in fulfilling their SHE responsibilities.</li>
<li>Provide guidance on risk management, safe systems of work, and environmental compliance.</li>
<li>Challenge unsafe practices and support operational teams to identify practical solutions.</li>
<li>provide recommendations for improvement.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Engagement &amp; Culture</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Promote a positive safety and environmental culture across the site.</li>
<li>Support safety campaigns, behavioural safety initiatives, and workforce engagement programmes.</li>
<li>Participate in site safety committees and improvement projects.</li>
<li>Support the delivery of SHE training, inductions, and awareness sessions.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Qualifications and experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential</li>
<li>Experience supporting ISO 14001 – desirable</li>
<li>Experience supporting ISO 50001 or energy management initiatives – desirable</li>
<li>IOSH membership or working towards – desirable</li>
<li>Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental) – desirable</li>
<li>Experience in manufacturing / food processing / FMCG environment preferred</li>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>Purpose: Play an integral part in delivering effective recycling and waste services; ensuring receptacles are emptied; recyclables are separated to secure best rebate value; and waste services complement rather than disrupt other business activities.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Service Provision: Review &amp; adhere to safe systems of work, policies &amp; procedures Adhere to a &#39;clean as you go&#39; approach Wear PPE as directed and maintain in good condition Decant/empty waste receptacles as required Ensure waste streams are segregated properly Moving waste receptacles to ensure provision in areas of need Coordinate provision of bins, skips and collections by waste contractors Ensure adherence to work schedules Ensure waste management does not disrupt client operations Operate balers &amp; compactors and other equipment (e.g. for cardboard or plastic) Promptly report defects of equipment Complete check sheets as required Maintain excellent housekeeping of all waste areas (including signage &amp; labelling) Support communication &amp; awareness activities as required Liaise with Site Waste Manager to deliver customer satisfaction</p>

<p>We&#39;re looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at our Trecatti Landfill Site. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will operate heavy plant (compactor, tracked loading shovel, ADT excavator etc.) to maximize void usage and ensure compliance with Site Environmental Permit.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Operate mobile plant on landfill site to ensure compliance with Environmental Permit.</li>
<li>Undertake pre-start checks of heavy plant and equipment and to ensure routine maintenance of plant and defects are reported on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Compliance with Health &amp; Safety at Work Act and any other relevant legislation and Group standards.</li>
<li>Reporting Accidents, near miss and incidents in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Attending SIT meetings and any other safety-related tasks to raise the standards at site.</li>
<li>Engaging and driving operational excellence as directed by other stakeholders on site.</li>
<li>Promoting a positive safety, health and wellbeing culture at site.</li>
<li>Ensuring a good customer care and positive interactions with customers, drivers and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Litter picking and other general labouring duties.</li>
<li>Attend internal and external training courses to increase competency and continual professional development.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>

<li>CITB Health &amp; Safety Test or equivalent.</li>
<li>Minimum 2 years relevant experience in operating heavy plant.</li>
<li>Awareness of the purpose and application of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.</li>
<li>Ability to follow instructions.</li>
