\nWithin Web DX, the Web Build team focuses on build-time systems and tooling, including Bazel rules, TypeScript and React integrations, i18n pipelines, and JS package management and bundling.

\nResponsibilities:
\nContribute to the development and maintenance of build systems and developer tools that support Dropbox’s web engineering ecosystem, including Bazel rules, TypeScript tooling, React workflows, and i18n pipelines.
\nImplement improvements that help streamline and standardize the development process, such as adding automated checks, improving abstractions, or extending scaffolding to reduce complexity.
\nCollaborate closely with product engineers to understand workflow challenges and help deliver solutions that improve web build speed, reliability, and consistency.
\nAdopt and apply modern practices in areas like static analysis, code quality enforcement, and incremental builds, working with senior engineers to introduce and maintain best practices.
\nParticipate in team initiatives that improve developer productivity at scale, such as optimizing build/test loops, enhancing build pipelines, and improving i18n tooling.
\nOn-call work may be necessary occasionally to help address bugs, outages, or other operational issues, with the goal of maintaining a stable and high-quality experience for our customers.
\nRequirements:
\nBS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
\n2+ years of software engineering experience (or strong internship/project experience for recent graduates).
\nProficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React.
\nInterest or experience in developer tooling, build systems, or productivity engineering (e.g., Bazel, RSPack, esbuild, or similar).
\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and improve developer workflows.
\nCollaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from and work closely with senior engineers.
\nExperience with static analysis, linters, or code quality tools a plus.
\nPreferred Qualifications:
\nExperience contributing to or maintaining build systems (e.g., Bazel,) or bundlers (e.g., Webpack, rspack, Rollup).
\nFamiliarity with build pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
\nHands-on experience building or extending developer productivity tools such as linters, formatters, or scaffolding generators.
\nFamiliarity with monorepo development and dependency management at scale.
\nExposure to internationalization (i18n) workflows or localization tooling.
\nExperience improving development workflows and test/build pipelines.
\nDemonstrated ability to identify developer pain points and propose/implement process or tooling improvements.

\nDesign reference and bespoke architectures that integrate LayerZero with customer systems - including smart contracts, wallets/custody, trading or settlement systems, data platforms, and banking/payments rails.
\nLead technical presentations, workshops, and demos, tailoring the depth to audiences ranging from protocol engineers to C-level executives.
\nBuild and validate POCs and pilot integrations, often writing or reviewing code (e.g., smart contracts, backend services, or sample apps) to prove out patterns.
\nDocument architectures, integration plans, and best practices, including sequence diagrams, threat models, and rollout strategies.
\nCollaborate with Integrations/Forward Deployed Engineering on hand-offs from POC to production, ensuring continuity and a clean path to scale.
\nAdvise on security and reliability for cross-chain flows: failure modes, monitoring, incident response, and operational runbooks.
\nStay current on Web3 trends (L1/L2 roadmaps, bridging standards, custody, regulation) and use that knowledge to shape customer strategy.

\nRequirements:
\nHave 5–10+ years in customer facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Platform/Infra Engineer, or Protocol Engineer.
\nHave a strong grasp of blockchain fundamentals and Web3 architecture: consensus basics, L1/L2 and rollups, bridging models, wallets and signing, vaults, custody, and common DeFi patterns.
\nAre comfortable reading and writing code - ideally in TypeScript, Rust, Go, and/or Solidity - and can quickly understand someone else’s stack.
