Machine Operator/Material Handlers

Job Responsibilities

• Operate with a safety-first mindset
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure all quality standards are met (checking first piece on inbound packaging components, some in process testing of materials, and communication with lab team)
• Operate equipment up to efficiency standards (depalletizes, case conveyers, case packers, fillers, carton erecters, palletizers, wrappers, etc.)
• Performing routine preventative maintenance and inspections on packaging equipment and or PITs
• Maintain 5S standards (continuous cleaning of area while plant is operating)
• Operate powered industrial trucks
• Maintain cross training on multiple pieces of equipment
• Remaining up to date with safety, LMS, and ISO trainings
• Manual operations may include putting corrugated board on packaging lines, handling bottles or cases, pouch/bags and cleaning of equipment
• Employees will be trained and must utilize machine safety standards that will include control of hazardous energy, LOTO, and fortress keys
• Employees will be required to be engaged in additional safety programs which include but are not limited to PPE, ergonomics, PIT, and safety/environmental programs.
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years in manufacturing, distribution, or warehousing setting
• Experience working on a team to complete a common goal
• Experience operating machinery on a line
• RF Scanner experience is preferred
• SAP knowledge is preferred
• Forklift experience
• Handling/lifting of materials up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, bending down, the use of stairs, elevated platforms, ability to get on and off a powered industrial truck, and reaching for & placing of packaging components.

We're seeking a Packer to join our team. As a Packer, you will be responsible for replenishing, picking, and packing air filters, oil filters, wiper blades, and other small automotive parts in fulfillment of customer orders shipping throughout North America.

Responsibilities

• Replenish air filters, oil filters, wiper blades, and other small automotive parts
• Pick/pack air filters, oil filters, wiper blades, and other small automotive parts
• Manually construct shipping cartons
• Housekeeping - removing plastic, cardboard (bailing), emptying trash, and sweeping floors
• Participate and comply with all safety-oriented programs
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work M - F 7:30am to 4pm
• Pick/pack experience in a line environment
• RF scanner experience
• Experience opening cartons
• Replenishing and picking product experience
• Must be quality-minded and have a strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs frequently and 50lbs infrequently
• Ability to stand, squat, reach, and walk between 8 - 12 hours per shift
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
