We're seeking a Science Research Operations team member to build and own the operational infrastructure that keeps our research organisation running at full speed.

Our science teams are working on some of the hardest and most consequential problems in AI,training large-scale models, running complex experiments, and building novel products at the frontier. What makes that possible isn't just talent: it's the coordination, systems, and programs that let researchers spend their time on the science rather than the overhead around it.

This role sits at the intersection of research operations, technical program management, and product strategy. You'll work directly with research scientists and research engineers, doing a mix of tasks including running research partnerships, managing complex internal programs, and helping run the team’s day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

Build and manage custom expert contractor networks, sourcing domain specialists for eval and training data work that requires expertise beyond standard channels

Run research partnerships with external partners, from scoping through delivery

Ensure that our research progress is complemented by products that enable scientists to make maximal use of model capabilities.

Support recruiting efforts.

Coordinate external communications for the team, including supporting blog posts and preparing public-facing materials

Partner with product teams to contribute to science product strategy, product design, and novel product integrations where research and product intersect

Own team logistics including onboarding coordination, team events, and operational programs that improve team efficiency

You may be a good fit if you:

Have experience in research operations, technical program management, or a related role in a fast-moving technical environment

Can context-switch fluidly between operational work (logistics, tracking, coordination) and higher-order work (strategy, partnerships, product thinking)

Have a technical background, with experience in software development, machine learning, or biology R&D.

Are comfortable working directly with research scientists and engineers, you ask good questions, you don't need things explained twice, and you know when to escalate vs. when to handle it yourself

Have a track record of building systems and processes from scratch rather than inheriting them

Bring strong written communication skills and can represent the team accurately in external-facing materials

Have managed contractors or external partners before, including scoping work, tracking delivery, and ensuring quality

Are results-oriented, with a bias toward flexibility and impact

Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where priorities shift and no two weeks look the same

Strong candidates may also have:

Direct experience sourcing and managing expert contractor networks, particularly in technical or scientific domains

Familiarity with ML research workflows, training runs, evaluations, data pipelines, and what makes them succeed or stall

Experience contributing to product development or product strategy, not just operations

Software Engineer, Research Data Platform

We're looking for engineers who love working directly with users and who excel at building data products. The Research Data Platform team builds the tools that Anthropic's researchers use every day to manage, query, and analyze the data that goes into training and evaluating frontier models.

As a software engineer on this team, you will:

Build and operate data pipelines that extract data from research training runs and land it in storage systems that are easy and fast to query

Work closely with researchers to design and build APIs, libraries, and web interfaces that support data management, exploration, and analysis

You should enjoy working directly with users, gathering requirements iteratively, and shipping things that get adopted. You should also be results-oriented, with a bias towards flexibility and impact.

Strong candidates may also have experience with large-scale ETL, columnar storage formats, and query engines, high-volume time series data, data cataloging, lineage, or metadata management systems, ML experiment tracking or metrics platforms, complex data visualization, and full-stack web application development.

Private Credit is a key growth area for both the firm and for Preqin, Aladdin’s private markets data business. In this context, the Preqin Research Insights team is seeking a Head of Private Credit to join the team in London.

The Research Insights team serves as Preqin’s authoritative voice in the market and comprises more than 15 analysts across alternative asset classes, based in London, New York, Dallas, Singapore and Hong Kong. The team produces over 100 institutional research publications a year (www.preqin.com/insights) that are available to subscribers through Preqin’s commercial platform (PreqinPRO), and have seen strong growth over the last few years. The team also presents at over 50 industry forums and hundreds of strategic BlackRock client engagements each year.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Private Credit research: lead research agenda to position Preqin as thought-leader on private credit across the industry, in collaboration with the Head of Preqin Research and partners across BlackRock

Client and media engagement: represent Preqin at industry events, client meetings and financial press engagements

Team development: mentor a team of researchers that touch private credit across Preqin Research, helping to ensure the production of high quality data driven content that resonates with clients

Stakeholder engagement: build strong relationships across BlackRock teams working on private credit, across investment, client, Aladdin and corporate functions

Product leadership: provide feedback on Preqin Private Credit data roadmap, grounded in the understanding of market developments and insights that clients need

Required Skills

Industry experience: 15+ years of experience preferred in private credit or related areas. The ideal candidate will possess deep understanding of the broader private credit ecosystem, including Banks, Insurance and Wealth.

Communication: exceptional presentation skills and ability to confidently and succinctly respond to questions

Problem solving: ability frame problems and to define path forward in the absence of a clear industry standard (particularly relevant in private credit where definitions of key concepts – like “ABF” – are still evolving)

Writing and analytical skills: demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and crystallize meaningful insights

AI proficiency: hands-on comfort using AI tools in daily research work (e.g., prompt-based research, synthesis, data exploration – with awareness of AI limitations) and prompt engineering fundamentals (ability to create, test, iterate, and evaluate prompts/workflows to achieve consistent outputs)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

CFA or CAIA qualification preferred

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and advanced degree preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
