Participating in quality reviews and audits to ensure adherence to process requirements and design intent. Supporting process improvements that enhance manufacturability, reduce defects, or streamline production flow. Contribute to the definition and enforcement of factory standards such as ESD handling and cleanliness requirements.</p>
<p>Requirements include:</p>
<p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in a science or engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing engineering role. Experience with inspection techniques and basic GD&amp;T principles. Basic proficiency in Python or SQL for data analysis. Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective action, and basic quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto). Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.</p>
<p>Bonus requirements include:</p>

<p>What You’ll Be Doing:</p>
<ul>
<li>Owning product quality from early concept design through release to production and eventual End of Support phase(s).</li>
<li>Recommending manufacturing processes and suppliers based on capability, aligned with Synopsys commodity plans, capacity, risks, and total cost of ownership.</li>
<li>Driving Design for Excellence (DFx) by engaging cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers early in the design cycle to improve manufacturability and testability.</li>
<li>Managing product and process development activities with suppliers, identifying quality KPIs, and driving metric improvements.</li>
<li>Establishing, monitoring, and publishing quality dashboards with supporting metrics at global contract manufacturers (CMs)/suppliers.</li>
<li>Conducting periodic meetings with global CMs/suppliers to drive quality metrics and resolve issues.</li>
<li>Driving continuous improvement projects with CMs/suppliers.</li>
<li>Conducting first article inspection reviews on Synopsys products.</li>
<li>Partnering with Test Engineering to support the development, validation, and deployment of end-of-line test strategies.</li>
<li>Leading failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions for production issues and field returns, ensuring robust and sustainable solutions.</li>
<li>Creating and reviewing BOMs, ECOs, and manufacturing-related changes using PLM tools.</li>

<p>What You’ll Need:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering (Master’s preferred).</li>
<li>5+ years in hardware manufacturing, supplier/product quality, or related field of complex electronics and electro-mechanical products.</li>
<li>Strong experience with high layer count PCB and high-density PCBA assemblies.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings with GD&amp;T.</li>
<li>Experience in manufacturing test, collaborating with test teams to interpret failures and drive root cause analysis.</li>
<li>Experience managing complex quality/improvement projects at global CMs/suppliers.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of quality methodologies, metrics, and structured problem-solving techniques.</li>
<li>Proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.</li>
</ul>
