<p>We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our quality management system by ensuring manufacturing processes, materials, and products meet internal and regulatory quality standards.</p>
<p>As a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement quality controls, investigate nonconformances, and drive continuous improvement across production operations.</p>
<p>Responsibilities ---------------</p>
<p><strong>Quality Engineering &amp; Process Improvement</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement quality controls to ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet product specifications and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Lead root cause investigations for nonconformances, process deviations, and quality events.</li>
<li>Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify effectiveness.</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen manufacturing quality, reliability, and efficiency.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes, documentation, and inspection methods.</li>
<li>Support new product introduction and process development by integrating quality requirements into production workflows.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Inspection &amp; Verification</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support receiving, in-process, and final inspections of materials, components, and assemblies.</li>
<li>Verify that manufacturing work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures.</li>
<li>Review inspection results and evaluate nonconformances for disposition.</li>
<li>Support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and measuring equipment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Supplier Quality &amp; Material Verification</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with supplier quality activities including review of material certifications, inspection reports, and supplier documentation.</li>
<li>Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and corrective action activities.</li>
<li>Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams to ensure supplied materials meet technical and quality requirements.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Quality Systems &amp; Documentation</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and traceability in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.</li>
<li>Support document control programs and ensure procedures, forms, and work instructions remain current.</li>
<li>Assist with development and improvement of quality procedures and manufacturing documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Audits &amp; Regulatory Compliance</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support internal audits, external audits, and quality system assessments.</li>
<li>Participate in corrective action reviews and follow-up verification.</li>
<li>Help maintain compliance with NQA-1 quality requirements and applicable DOE and NRC regulatory frameworks.</li>
<li>Support audit readiness and quality program implementation as manufacturing operations scale.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements ------------</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing engineering within an industrial or regulated manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Experience working with quality systems such as NQA-1, ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar regulated standards.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.</li>
<li>Experience performing root cause analysis using structured methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, or similar tools.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or other measurement equipment.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.</li>
<li>Experience working in nuclear, aerospace, defense, energy, or other regulated industries is a plus.</li>
