<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Metallurgical or Materials Engineering preferred).</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering and metallurgical laboratory analysis of components.</li>
<li>High volume ferrous based metallurgical processing experience – including heat treatment, welding, and auxiliary surface treatments – combined with hands-on experience with tooling design for those processes.</li>
<li>Proficiency in heat treatment processes, metallurgy, hardness testing (core, surface, and micro-hardness).</li>
<li>Strong ability to perform complex failure analysis and interpret technical engineering drawings (including GD&amp;T).</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and interface with suppliers and plant engineering.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle complex projects, equipment procurement, and multiple objectives during launch phases.</li>
<li>Ability to travel domestically – up to 20%.</li>
<li>Vacuum carburizing experience.</li>
<li>Some knowledge of gear machining and metrology is a plus.</li>

This role will provide technical, program, and account management expertise to cross-functional business development and engineering program team execution activities.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<li>Develop comprehensive quality plans to assure program quality objectives and customer requirements are satisfied and train affected personnel on quality plan elements</li>
<li>Support International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 compliance within assigned sites</li>
<li>Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with the objective of developing and maintaining program specific control plans and related documentation</li>
<li>Assist in the assessment and selection process of suppliers, including resolving supplier quality issues when necessary</li>
