Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects

As a Senior Manager, Finance Strategic Projects, you will serve as the operational backbone for Anthropic's global Finance organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will anticipate leadership needs, transform complexity into clarity, and ensure seamless execution of the organization's top priorities.

In this role, you will optimize our ability to scale by taking on strategic projects and acting as the connective tissue that keeps the Finance engine running as we continue to drive the development and adoption of safe, frontier AI.

Key responsibilities include providing hands-on operational leadership to the CFO, owning end-to-end execution of key strategic initiatives across FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Finance Systems, consolidating critical business intelligence from multiple channels and systems into actionable priorities, and leading prioritization and orchestration of CFO engagement with internal executive stakeholders, the Board, investors, and external partners.

You will also design and implement processes and workflows to support Anthropic's growth while maintaining quality and speed, champion and drive the Finance organization's continued adoption of Claude, identifying and leading new opportunities to integrate Claude deeper into daily workflows across FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Finance Systems, and identify automation opportunities and build operational frameworks that scale with the business.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have 8+ years of experience in Finance, Strategy, Business Operations, or Chief of Staff roles at high-growth technology companies, bring a strong foundation in finance or a highly analytical discipline, demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders, possess exceptional operational discipline to make smart decisions quickly while maintaining high standards for execution, and demonstrated enthusiasm for applying AI tools (especially Claude) to finance workflows.

Additionally, you should thrive in ambiguity and can rapidly synthesize complex information into actionable insights, have experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy, have experience working at both startups and large companies, understanding how to scale processes, and have a track record of designing and implementing systems and processes for high-growth environments.
