Standard Nuclear is fueling America's nuclear renaissance at industrial scale. The EH&S Specialist will support Standard Nuclear's environmental, health, safety, and radiological protection programs by providing hands-on monitoring, compliance support, and operational oversight across manufacturing and laboratory environments.
\nThis role plays a key part in maintaining safe work conditions, supporting radiological controls, and ensuring compliance with site procedures. A significant portion of this role involves working in and around radiological areas, supporting contamination controls, monitoring activities, and personnel safety. Prior radiological experience is required.
\nResponsibilities:\nRadiological & Area Safety Support:\nSupport radiological control activities including area monitoring, contamination surveys, and access controls.\nAssist with implementation of radiological work permits and site-specific safety requirements.\nMonitor work activities in radiological areas to ensure compliance with procedures and controls.\nSupport personnel monitoring and contamination control practices.\nReport abnormal conditions, incidents, or safety concerns immediately to EH&S leadership.
\nEH&S Program Support:\nAssist with day-to-day execution of environmental, health, and safety programs.\nSupport inspections, audits, and routine safety walkthroughs.\nHelp maintain EH&S documentation, logs, and records.\nSupport incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
\nOperational & Field Support:\nProvide on-the-floor safety presence to support manufacturing, maintenance, and technical teams.\nAssist with hazard identification, job safety analyses, and work planning activities.\nEnsure PPE requirements and safety controls are understood and followed.
\nTraining & Compliance:\nAssist with delivery and tracking of EH&S and radiological training.\nSupport onboarding of new employees with safety orientation and site requirements.\nReinforce a strong safety culture through consistent communication and engagement.
\nSkills & Qualifications:\nExperience in EH&S, industrial safety, manufacturing operations, or a regulated technical environment.\nWillingness to work in radiological areas following training and procedural controls.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.\nAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with operations and technical staff.\nComfort working on the production floor and in active work environments.\nTechnical, trade, military, or equivalent hands-on background preferred.\nPrior radiological, nuclear, or hazardous materials experience is required.

\nQuality and Compliance:\nPerform visual inspections, continuity testing, and high-voltage insulation resistance testing to verify conformance to aerospace standards.\nEnsure all work adheres to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, AS9100, and other aerospace quality requirements.\nIdentify and repair defects, ensuring zero tolerance for errors that could impact safety or reliability.\nMaintain traceability of all components, wires, and work performed.
\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nAccurately complete production records, test logs, and quality assurance reports.\nMaintain detailed documentation for traceability and compliance with aerospace industry standards.
