<p>As the Engineering Lead for Consumer Subscriptions (X Premium &amp; SuperGrok), you will own the entire billing and monetization infrastructure powering one of X&#39;s fastest-growing revenue organizations.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own the complete billing infrastructure for consumer subscriptions end-to-end, ensuring world-class reliability, security, and scalability.</li>
<li>Design and build sophisticated promotional offer infrastructure and internal tools to supercharge the revenue organization.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive communications systems enabling intelligent push, email, and in-app messaging that drive engagement and conversions.</li>
<li>Implement market-specific billing methods and compliance solutions to accelerate global expansion.</li>
<li>Architect compelling product bundles across the X ecosystem tailored to different markets and consumer needs.</li>
<li>Build intelligent models and systems that serve the right messages, offers, and information to users at the optimal time.</li>
<li>Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing Consumer Subscriptions engineering team.</li>
<li>Hands-on ownership and development of key features for X Premium and SuperGrok products.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Exceptional software engineering background with deep experience building large-scale, high-stakes systems (billing, payments, or transactional platforms preferred).</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence or directly manage engineering teams.</li>
<li>Strong track record delivering complex backend systems for consumer applications at scale.</li>
<li>Passion for revenue-generating products and creating exceptional user experiences.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience working on large-scale consumer applications, ideally in monetization, subscriptions, or fintech.</li>
<li>Experience leading engineering efforts in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.</li>
<li>Expertise in distributed systems, global payments infrastructure, personalization engines, or A/B testing frameworks.</li>
<li>Proficiency with high-performance languages and tools such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or similar.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p>
<p>$180,000 - $440,000 USD</p>

<p>The Role --------</p>
<p>We are seeking a visionary and experienced Digital Marketing Architect to design, build, and optimize our digital marketing technology stack. You will be the central owner of our MarTech blueprint, ensuring all platforms work in harmony to support our omnichannel retail strategy.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities -------------------</p>
<p><strong>MarTech Stack Architecture</strong></p>
<p>Design and govern the end-to-end architecture of our marketing technology stack, including our Customer Data Platform (CDP), e-commerce platform, personalization engine, loyalty platform, and campaign management tools.</p>
<p><strong>Omnichannel Customer Journey Design</strong></p>
<p>Architect the data flows and system integrations necessary to create a unified 360-degree customer view, connecting data from online touchpoints (website, app) and offline systems (Point-of-Sale, in-store events).</p>
<p><strong>Data &amp; Personalization Strategy</strong></p>
<p>In collaboration with the data team, design the marketing data model within our CDP. Architect solutions that leverage this data to deliver real-time, personalized content, product recommendations, and offers across all digital channels.</p>
<p><strong>Technology Evaluation &amp; Roadmap</strong></p>
<p>Lead the discovery, evaluation, and selection of new marketing technologies. Develop and maintain a multi-year MarTech roadmap that aligns with strategic business objectives for growth and customer experience.</p>
<p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Enablement</strong></p>
<p>Work closely with brand marketers, e-commerce managers, and CRM specialists to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions. Empower teams by ensuring the technology is effective and user-friendly.</p>
<p>Qualifications &amp; Skills ----------------------</p>
<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>
<p>8+ years in digital marketing technology, marketing operations, or solutions architecture. Direct experience within the retail or e-commerce industry is essential.</p>
<p><strong>MarTech Platform Expertise</strong></p>
<p>Proven hands-on experience architecting and integrating core retail marketing platforms:</p>
<ul>
<li>Customer Data Platforms (CDP): e.g., Segment, Tealium, Bloomreach</li>
<li>E-commerce Platforms: e.g., Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento (Adobe Commerce), Commercetools</li>
<li>Marketing/CRM Platforms: e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Emarsys</li>
<li>Personalization Engines: e.g., Dynamic Yield, Klevu, Nosto</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical Proficiency</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL) and data integration patterns.</li>
<li>Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and identity resolution concepts.</li>
<li>Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and tag management systems (Google Tag Manager).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Retail Business Acumen</strong></p>
<p>Deep understanding of key retail metrics (e.g., Customer Lifetime Value - CLV, Conversion Rate, Average Order Value - AOV) and the ability to connect technology solutions to business outcomes.</p>
<p>Preferred Qualifications ----------------------</p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with headless commerce and composable architecture.</li>
<li>Familiarity with loyalty program platforms and their integration.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Product Information Management (PIM) systems.</li>
<li>Experience in both B2C and D2C retail environments.</li>
<li>Professional fluency in German is a strong asset.</li>
