<p>The apprentice will learn knife skills, health and safety practices, food safety and hygiene, and key legislation, using butchery tools and machinery, cutting whole deer carcasses, business profitability, maximising productivity, efficiency and customer care, team work and customer care skills, and specialist retail shop or processing plant butchery skills.</p>
<p>The final certification will be for L2 Butchery, and the apprentice will receive qualifications in Butchery Level 2 Apprenticeship Certificate, Level 2 award in food safety, Level 2 award in health and safety, Level 2 award in knife skills, and Level 1 in maths and English (if applicable).</p>
<p>The apprentice will work 40 hours per week, with a start time of 6.00am and a finish at 3.00pm, and will be paid £16,640 per annum plus excellent benefits.</p>
