      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We&#39;re seeking a Senior/Principal Environment Artist to join our team. As a key member of our Art team, you will elevate the visual language of our first IP, translating our established world into immersive environments where every vista serves the story and every layout is purpose-built for competitive gameplay.</p>
<p>Your primary responsibility will be building high-quality, in-game environment art that brings the world of Arkheron to life – architecture, materials, props, vistas, and set dressing. You will own environment assets end-to-end, from concept or blockout through final in-engine implementation. Additionally, you will create fully realized architectural kits, ensuring they are visually cohesive, performant, and flexible for level design.</p>
<p>You will partner closely with design, lighting, engineering, and other art disciplines to ensure environments support gameplay, readability, and visual storytelling. You will balance artistic fidelity with gameplay and technical needs, making smart tradeoffs that serve player experience. You will conduct research and gather reference to push quality, authenticity, and cohesion across the world.</p>
<p>As a key contributor to our team, you will help shape the visual language and identity of a new IP. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, pushing work forward in a small, evolving team without needing rigid structure. You will wear multiple hats, using your experience to contribute beyond pure asset creation when it benefits the game.</p>
<p>To succeed in this role, you should be a strong, self-directed world builder who can take an idea from a rough sketch to a polished, in-game environment. You should have deep experience creating AAA-quality environment art, ideally with at least one shipped AAA title. You should bring a sharp eye for organic forms, architecture, materials, color, composition, and spatial storytelling.</p>
<p>You should be proficient with industry-standard tools (Maya or equivalent, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance, and real-time engines). You should understand the realities of game development pipelines, including optimization, lighting, PBR materials, UVs, and engine constraints. You should think developer- and product-first, caring about how environments affect gameplay, flow, and player experience.</p>
<p>You should thrive in highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with partners across the studio. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity and taking initiative without waiting for perfect direction. You should value trust, openness, and diverse perspectives.</p>

<p>We&#39;re looking for a seasoned Art Director, Environments to join our team at Epic Games. As an Art Director, you will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and elevating the visual quality of Rocket League&#39;s worlds, balancing realism, readability, and performance of all visual elements in the game.</p>
<p>You will work closely with the Creative Director to set the tone and direction for the environments, and collaborate with a team of multidisciplinary artists and external partners to deliver high-quality environments at scale. This role requires a strong mix of artistic vision, technical depth, and leadership skills, with experience in delivering games with realistic 3D environments and robust outsourcing processes.</p>
<p>As an Art Director, you will be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Defining and pushing the artistic vision for Rocket League&#39;s environments, while respecting established visual pillars</li>
<li>Collaborating with discipline leads, production, and outsourcing teams to deliver high-quality content efficiently</li>
<li>Translating high-level directions into clear and concise guidelines for internal teams and external partners</li>
<li>Supporting the Creative Director in reviewing, providing feedback, and ensuring alignment across the team</li>
<li>Representing the Creative Director in multidisciplinary meetings, reviews, and planning discussions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We&#39;re Looking For</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of environmental art for games, including realistic structures, natural landscapes, and integration of structural and organic forms</li>
<li>Proven experience in supervising large-scale outsourcing processes, including writing RFPs, reviewing, commenting, and quality control across multiple vendors</li>
<li>Experience in close collaboration with designers to support main gameplay loops</li>
<li>Strong willingness and ability to progress, lead, and direct teams with clarity and empathy</li>
<li>Experience leading to the delivery of at least one commercial game with realistic 3D environments across multiple platforms, including consoles and PC, ideally on titles with ongoing service (experience with Unreal Engine a plus)</li>
<li>Deep understanding of performance, optimization, and memory compromises, with a practical approach to growth and reuse of assets</li>
<li>Strong technical art knowledge, including workflows, tools, and content integration for PBR and photogrammetry pipelines</li>
<li>Excellent mastery of artistic fundamentals: composition, lighting, color theory, scale, and visual appeal</li>
<li>Experience as a team lead responsible for the complete development of environments, including management of internal teams and external partners</li>
<li>Developed collaboration spirit, humble management approach, and a sure instinct for what makes environments fun</li>
