• Creating, completing, and approving supplier and internal DV/PV test plans and overseeing testing in support of robust validation
• Leading/supporting warranty reduction and issue resolution using a structured 8D documented approach
• Leading/supporting TVM cost reduction idea generation and implementation
• Leading/supporting change control activities
• Traveling as necessary to Ford Assembly Plants/Facilities and Supplier/Sub-Supplier sites for issue resolution and build support

You'll have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. You'll need 5+ years of Component and System/Subsystem D&R Experience, internal combustion engine experience preferred. You'll also need to be able to work effectively and lead in a team environment, have knowledge of FMEA’s, Control Plans, and DV/PV Plans, and possess basic knowledge of NVH, Materials, Durability, and Manufacturing processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for the Vehicle NVH attribute, from pre-program phases through final engineering sign-off, of Ford Racing vehicle programs. You will lead NVH development on our high-performance on & off-road vehicles using analytical and in-vehicle methods to deliver world-class customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Own the NVH attribute by leading both program and technical aspects of NVH development for future Ford Racing on and off-road vehicles

• Manage test plans to support tuning freezes and attribute assessments at all major milestones
• Manage and/or perform off-site testing, scheduling objective testing with both internal (VEV) and external vendors/suppliers
• Complete and document all DVP and CDR requirements, including exterior legal noise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related engineering degree or related field of study
• 5+ years’ experience in Vehicle and/or Systems NVH development experience as a platform/unit/attribute lead
• 5+ years’ experience in Program and/or Unit GPDS deliverables
• 5+ years’ experience in Data acquisition & analysis tools and methods (LMS, B&K, DET, PT Diag, CANalyzer, etc.)
• Capable of utilizing CAE and Simulation tools and methods in the NVH development process

• Be on-site at the Ford manufacturing facility in support of pre-production builds and resolution of any issues that arise as production ramps up
• Participate in Suspension Tech Clubs and the Foundation Design Review to influence requirements and design rule modifications and additions as well as to learn about new technologies and processes
