<p>Responsibilities</p>
<p>• Execution &amp; Release Operations: Design and own systems for tracking ongoing pretraining and posttraining releases - providing real-time visibility into readiness, trade-offs, and impact. Evolve ad-hoc efforts into systematic release operations that enable disciplined, high-velocity execution.</p>
<p>• Strategic Planning &amp; Roadmapping: Partner with science leads to translate research goals into actionable, company-aligned roadmaps. Frame scientific capabilities in business-relevant terms and ensure that priorities are consistently communicated and understood across teams.</p>
<p>• Operational Unblocking &amp; Coordination: Keep science moving - anticipate and clear roadblocks, streamline cross-functional coordination, and maintain momentum. Own GPU allocation and quota management to ensure compute resources are scaled and accessible when needed.</p>
<p>• Visibility &amp; Communication Cadence: Drive structured communication loops - own the bi-weekly science updates, science all-hands, and company-wide digests. Synthesize inputs into clear, high-signal narratives that inform leadership and align the broader organization.</p>
<p>• Learning &amp; Continuous Improvement: Run retrospectives after major sprints and releases, distilling insights into repeatable systems. Refine processes, templates, and feedback loops to strengthen organizational learning and operational excellence over time.</p>
<p>About you</p>
<p>• Experience in research-heavy or ML/AI organizations.</p>
<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.</p>
<p>• 3+ years of experience in technical program management, operations, or research coordination.</p>
<p>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in structuring ambiguous projects into clear deliverables.</p>
<p>• Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and manage complex stakeholder landscapes.</p>

<p>Within Mistral&#39;s Applied AI team, the Applied Science works closely with the research team to deliver co-training projects,from pre-training through post-training.</p>
<p>We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to embed within our Applied Science organization. This role is critical to ensuring seamless execution of technical projects,from helping build the Applied Science product roadmap, tracking research papers and blog posts to maintaining the health of all Applied Science product verticals.</p>
<p>As a TPM, you will oversee the tracking and dissemination of technical papers, blog posts, and research outputs for Applied Science projects. You will conduct health checks for all Applied Science verticals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational efficiency, and support execution.</p>
<p>You will design and operationalise systems for tracking project progress, surfacing dependencies, and maintaining momentum across teams. You will develop and refine a customer experience process to onboard clients to products, including cluster setup and technical integration.</p>
<p>Acting as a bridge between Applied Science teams and customers, you will ensure smooth adoption and address technical challenges. You will work closely with Applied Science, Engineering, Product, and Solutions teams to align technical projects with business objectives.</p>
<p>You will facilitate GPU allocation, quota management, and infrastructure workflows to ensure resources are scaled and accessible. You will continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.</p>
<p>You will drive structured communication loops, including bi-weekly updates, all-hands meetings, and company-wide digests, synthesising technical details into clear, strategic narratives.</p>
<p>As a TPM, you will identify potential risks and issues in project lifecycles, developing contingency plans to mitigate them. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and clients, ensuring alignment and transparency.</p>
