      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Manager to lead our Akebono Production System (APS) through continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating waste based on standardized work while focusing on linear, incremental improvements within the process.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with organisational goals, identify opportunities for improvement across processes, workflows, and systems, and lead Lean Manufacturing projects to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve quality.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include conducting Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and root cause analyses, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and measure the success of improvement initiatives, and preparing and presenting regular reports on process improvement metrics and achievements.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills, and proficiency in continuous improvement tools (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, 5S, Kanban).</p>
<p>This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of six years of technical knowledge of manufacturing processes in an automotive supplier work environment.</p>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Thorough knowledge of the quality system and apply it daily</li>
<li>Provide technical liaison services between manufacturing and quality on all matters relating to quality systems, procedures, direction, processes, including Quality Assurance implementation and Maintenance.</li>
<li>Responsible for activities related to the identification, tracking and resolving of all quality problems.</li>
<li>Provide technical liaison and consultation services for Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and Purchasing to assure effective communication, coordination and interaction.</li>
<li>Evaluate and develop quality requirements and maintain world class technological advancements.</li>
<li>Evaluate engineering designs to assure that the engineering direction is capable of assuring first time capability with superior part quality.</li>
<li>Responsible for APQP.</li>
<li>Organize and direct interaction of all customer complaints. Skill and ability to navigate through customer portals.</li>
<li>Review prints and specifications to ensure quality reliability requirements. Track engineering changes through the system (ECN).</li>
<li>Review and evaluate Control Plans Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, acceptance sampling, etc. (DCP)</li>
<li>Provide Manufacturing and/or Engineering with Metrology information.</li>
<li>Provide Quality Assurance personnel with assistance and training to ensure acceptable quality performance.</li>
<li>As required, train quality and manufacturing personnel on use of new and existing equipment.</li>
<li>Provide capability studies and process potential studies (Cp, Cpk, Minitab).</li>
<li>Provide a direct link with company management and coordinate for quality problem resolutions.</li>
<li>Participate in all customer, external / internal quality audits.</li>
<li>Review all safety and critical characteristics with engineering to reach mutual agreement on specifications.</li>
<li>Keen interest in product knowledge; know what we make.</li>
<li>Lead the inspectors and technicians with the quality supervisor in performing annual capability studies.</li>
<li>Lead technical customer support and service for the assigned accounts.</li>
<li>Lead customer problem solving efforts for the area assigned.</li>
<li>Develop IATF cascading documents (process flow, FMEA, Control plans, check sheets, etc.) (DCP).</li>
<li>Support quality hold area, disposition non-conforming material.</li>
<li>Follow-up with customers on product trials and corrective actions.</li>
<li>Use SPC – Statistical Process Control to communicate and monitor dimensional variation</li>
<li>Lead prototype efforts in area to assure customer requirements are met, pre-production orders (PPPS).</li>
<li>Develop and lead PPAPs on new and modified products.</li>
<li>Assist quality manager to develop and implement and maintain the Quality System.</li>
