      <Description><![CDATA[<p>As a Facilities Operations Technician at xAI, you&#39;ll operate and maintain critical facility systems that power our supercomputing data centers. You&#39;ll work hands-on with MEP systems, tackling maintenance, operations, and repairs to ensure peak performance and reliability. <p>This role involves independently operating and maintaining critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in supercomputing data centers, ensuring high reliability and performance through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and process optimization.</p>
<p>Responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring MEP Infrastructure site safety and environmental compliance, aligning with local and regional health and safety requirements.</li>
<li>Providing operational expertise for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems at the datacenter facility.</li>
<li>Routinely inspecting all areas to ensure performance measures are being maintained and proactively self-reporting problems of facilities.</li>
<li>Experiencing with writing and executing MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.</li>
<li>Performing daily inspections of critical systems.</li>
<li>Identifying and maintaining spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.</li>
<li>Coordinating and supervising scheduled system shutdowns.</li>
<li>Developing and implementing energy monitoring metrics.</li>
<li>Supporting commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.</li>
</ul>
<p>Basic qualifications include:</p>
<ul>
<li>A Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or 2+ years of hands-on operations/facilities work experience in lieu of degree (data center experience preferred).</li>
<li>Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems (both would be a huge plus).</li>
<li>Experience and knowledge of all critical systems documentation including Plans, Procedures, and Operations Manuals.</li>
<li>Experience and knowledge of Building and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems and Operations.</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li>
<li>Experience with PLC-based control systems and/or with Building Management Systems (Client).</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication and technical writing skills in English.</li>
</ul>
<p>Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., use hand tools and power tools as needed, work in tight quarters, and be comfortable working at elevated heights (up to 100 feet) with appropriate safety gear.</p>
