Attendance is expected and fully supported.</p>\n<p>We are seeking a compliance professional to report to the Coinbase Canada Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). In this role, you will support the CCO with implementing and administering the compliance program.</p>\n<p>We are looking for someone who shares our values, is a team player but can work independently, and who thrives in a dynamic environment.</p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing regulatory and compliance guidance to the Coinbase Canada business as it grows and expands.</li>\n<li>Monitor the regulatory environment including review &amp; analysis of regulatory announcements, reports, and legislative changes.</li>\n<li>Maintain detailed documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Drive small ad-hoc targeted projects focusing on elements of the Canadian compliance program.</li>\n<li>Coordinate and respond to requests for information (RFIs) from fiat partners, ensuring timely and accurate extraction of user data and supporting documentation in line with local regulatory expectations.</li>\n<li>Lead the drafting of AML/KYC compliance reports related to fiat and virtual asset transactions in Canada.</li>\n<li>Manage and review assigned compliance cases within defined SLAs, providing clear guidance to internal stakeholders and escalating high-risk or complex cases when appropriate.</li>\n<li>Foster collaboration across internal teams (CX, Legal, Tech, etc.) to ensure data consistency, reporting accuracy, and alignment with regulatory and partner requirements.</li>\n<li>Lead or support automation initiatives aimed at streamlining KYC, EDD, and reporting processes.</li>\n<li>Support all AML ATF and sanctions-related operational processes/activities (e.g. EDD reviews, escalations, and STR and LVCTR reporting).</li>\n<li>Assist in the delivery of Financial Crimes Compliance training for employees supporting the Canada business.</li>\n<li>Contribute to risk assessments and compliance reporting for Canada, ensuring that systems and controls effectively address financial crime risks.</li>\n<li>Perform additional tasks as required to ensure the Coinbase Canada entity complies with applicable laws, and appropriate.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years experience in compliance at financial services, with a particular focus on cryptocurrency and fintech.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Canadian compliance and regulatory matters, including FINTRAC guidelines.</li>\n<li>Capacity to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and ensuring effective time management.</li>\n<li>Ability to thrive in fast-paced remote environment.</li>\n<li>Keen interest in digital assets.</li>\n<li>Team player, willing to tackle tasks large or small.</li>\n<li>Organized and detail-oriented.</li>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree or equivalent.</li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of compliance requirements related to cryptocurrency flows, including transaction monitoring and risk assessments.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates the ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously learn as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Nice to Haves:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional Compliance qualification and membership of a recognised professional body would be advantageous, but not a prerequisite.</li>\n<li>Experience working at or with crypto exchanges or fintech companies.</li>\n<li>Experience working at a CIRO Investment Dealer.</li>\n<li>Experience with Canadian securities regulation.</li>\n<li>Prior involvement in regulatory exams, audits, or law enforcement inquiries.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Pay Transparency Notice:</strong> The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below.
