The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Lead SAP FICO Consultant to oversee the design, delivery, and governance of SAP Finance & Controlling solutions for large-scale digital transformation initiatives. This role involves leading consulting engagements, driving process excellence, mentoring junior team members, and serving as the primary functional expert for client leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Leadership & Architecture

• Lead the end-to-end design of SAP FICO solutions, ensuring alignment with client business strategy and global best practices.
• Architect financial processes involving FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking) and CO (CCA, PCA, COPA, Costing) in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Drive blueprinting, solution design workshops, and cross-functional integration discussions with SD, MM, PP, and other teams.
• Provide expert guidance on S/4HANA conversion, Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, and Margin Analysis setups.

Client Advisory & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the trusted advisor to CFOs, Finance Directors, and business leads.
• Translate complex business requirements into strategic SAP solutions.
• Present solution options, impact assessments, and best practices to senior stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities: proposal development, solution demos, and effort estimation.

Project Delivery & Governance

• Lead FICO workstreams through all project phases—discover, design, build, test, deploy, hypercare.
• Oversee delivery teams and ensure quality assurance of functional configuration and documentation.
• Manage integration with technical and cross-functional teams for WRICEF objects.
• Drive cutover activities, data migration strategy, and readiness assessments for go-lives.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor and guide functional consultants and analysts across multiple projects.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and ensure adherence to consulting methodologies.
• Review functional specs, design documents, solution gaps, and enhancement proposals.

Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide leadership for L3 incident management and complex issue resolution.
• Recommend continuous process improvements and roadmap enhancements using SAP innovations.
• Lead post-implementation reviews to ensure business adoption and stabilization.

Requirements

• 10–15+ years of core SAP FICO consulting experience.
• Prior experience in a top-tier consulting environment (preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 full-cycle implementations as a Lead Consultant or Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in Financial Accounting and Controlling processes, including integration with SD/MM/PP.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Strong command over financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and cost management processes.
• Experience preparing detailed functional specifications and overseeing WRICEF development.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage large client engagements, and drive enterprise-level transformations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and consulting skills.

• SAP certification: FI, CO, or S/4HANA Finance.
• Experience in multi-country rollouts or global template design.
• Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.
• Project-related mobility/willingness to travel
