Your tasks will include:

• Defining, evaluating, and further developing target and reference architectures for SDV connectivity, edge, and cloud platforms in the automotive and IoT context

• Architectural review and integration of IoT and connectivity platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT Core, Bosch IoT Suite, Siemens MindSphere, or comparable platforms)

• Defining edge architectures, containerization, orchestration, and local data processing (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, edge gateways, local analytics)

• Designing security-by-design architectures over device, network, edge, and cloud (identities, PKI, certificate lifecycle, secure boot, TPM, zero-trust approaches)

• Technical leadership and architectural responsibility for mobile, IP, IoT, and service-based communication architectures from access network to application level (including 4G/5G, LTE-M, NB-IoT, NTN, IMS, TCP/IP, MQTT, AMQP, OPC UA, CoAP, HTTP/REST)

• Architectural responsibility for device and platform lifecycle topics (provisioning, OTA updates, configuration, and version management)

• Architectural design of edge-to-cloud communication data flows, service interfaces, scalability, and resilience concepts

• Technical leadership and sparring for project teams, customers, and partners, as well as support for proposal, strategy, and scaling topics

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, technical computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field

• At least 5 years of experience in the architecture of complex, scalable connectivity, IoT, edge, or cloud platforms

• A passion for designing scalable connectivity, IoT, edge, and cloud architectures and for creating complex technical connections in a holistic, sustainable, and forward-looking manner

• Expertise in defining and taking responsibility for complex system and reference architectures for distributed connectivity, IoT, and cloud platforms

• Deep knowledge of architecture, integration, and security, including modern protocols and security-by-design principles

• Structured, analytical, and decision-making work style, with the ability to present complex technical content clearly and convincingly on an architectural, decision-making, and management level
