We're building an enterprise-grade Infrastructure Operations Platform named VOPs to support the facilitation of most complex IT infrastructure operations for all IT teams at Bayer globally. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and Design: Join the team responsible for planning and running our VOPs platform. Leadership: Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support in the implementation of cloud solutions. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with Squad Leads and other stakeholders to understand requirements and align integration strategies with business goals. Technical Oversight: Ensure that solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and secure, adhering to best practices in IT architecture and in-line with Bayer's strategy. Our requirements include: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience as an IT engineer. At least 6 years of experience in Azure (other clouds will be a plus). Proficiency in IT Architecture & design, specifically in infrastructure automation, provisioning, and maintenance. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively, even under pressure. Familiarity with IaC (e.g., Terraform) and strong proficiency in Python. Linux command line tools and shell scripting. Experience with building IT systems in regulated environments. Integration and Automation Expertise: Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience in building and deploying integration solutions (Azure DevOps, GitHub Repos, and GitHub Actions). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with API management and/or design will be appreciated. Intercultural Competence: Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, respecting diverse perspectives and fostering teamwork, establishing and maintaining a robust professional network. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Skilled at soldering and reworking microelectronic components
• Knowledgeable in RF investigation and analysis with the use of specialized equipment (Spectrum analyzer, Network Analyzer, etc.) and RF simulation tool suites
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art hardware systems, software tools, and algorithms for interfaces required for sensors, actuators, firmware development, and inter-communication bus protocols (CAN-FD, Ethernet, SFP, 1553, etc.)
